EA Megaman - Honda
I’m pretty sure most people know of his amazing skill by now. I almost cried when I came SO CLOSE to taking our first match. Anyway, amazing Honda and really cool dude, definitely face him if you want a good time (even if you’re getting beaten, lol). I also saw him pull off the famous Choi combo almost effortlessly.

Another cool player, he was solid with a couple of characters. I’m guessing Fei-Long is his main since he seemed most comfortable with him.
Baklakiller - Zangief
Had some pretty intense Cammy v. Gief matches, which are always really hard for me given that I have to cr. short > drill non-stop - and one mistake is all I need to lose. Also made me laugh when he was arguing with another player over picking another character (I actually plugged my headset in to listen, and I usually NEVER plug it in).
Zangief mirror matches are always a little different. I ‘cheated’ when I played Sammy and picked Guile. It’s good to see that I’m not the only ‘good’ 'gief who struggles with an average Guile.
Yep, agreed 100%. I basically came on this morning to big mavrick up after he wiped the floor with me last night in a set of bison mirror matches. There was a little too much lag for my liking, which really hurt me as i was spending a lot of time defending his crazy rushdowns, and i felt like my timing was thrown way off, but i don’t want to use that as an excuse.The guy has an AMAZING bison. Like somebody else posted, mess up once and it’s a combo video.Has to be one of the top 2 or 3 on XBL. The guy never looks like he’s in trouble. He had an answer for everything i can do.
Excellent dictator.I wish i could record some matches with him so i could go back and see what i was doing wrong, but i felt like i was never out of the corner against him.
PS- Why has the “HDR good games thread been closed”? Is this thread the next best thing now?
Ya, man you have to fight this guy i see him play other Hawks like Traveling Penguin and beat him pretty easly i even witness a game between him and afro legends and he pretty much wooped on afro ROG and i was like WTF but, he most impressed me when he played CaliPower guile and his ryu he beat valle guile and fought his ryu to a stand still. it was cali frist round and Mavrick second round and double ko thrid round and timed out forth and cali won just by a slight margin after that i was like wow, then he also won South East Regional Championship at FINAL ROUND in HDR Good shit to him.
Thats why i think you and him should play i know your good and i know he is as well…
Yes… i played Travelling Penguin last night in a player room. He was using Ken exclusively.
All in all it was a horrible experience, I usually see Ken as probably being a soft touch, but it felt like a bad matchup vs his Ken… Is he supposed to be good? He certainly seems a level or two above me at the moment
Just checked - he’s ranked 87th at the mo with a ratig of 4230 or sommat… So probably the highest ranked player I’ve played. Yes, it was an education - but probably not one I could learn anything from apart from ‘don’t expect to win against Ken easily , they aren’t all walk in the parks…’
Don’t take rankings and ratings too much into account although Travelling Penguin does seem quite good. I don’t know his main though since I see him playing with T-Hawk a bit?
Traveling penguin is a excellent player but he gets a bit funny when he loses. Last we played I beat him and he quit the lobby, the time before that I beat him and he started telling me I was no good and that he’s won tournements and such , the next match he just stood there not doing anything.
Dont get me wrong I dont always beat him,but when I do beat him, he acts a bit off.
also, GG’s to JumpSuit, I only played you a few times but the games were good. Would have like to have played you more.
First time playing Kurropi. I was facing his Hawk and Chun, but I was doing so well against Honda’s lately that I had a bit of confidence in me. So I asked him to pick Honda (against my Cammy). Yeah…he’s friggin’ INSANE. I have to re-work my whole strategy now, though playing him was EXCELLENT for developing reflexes. Is he Japanese? If yes he’s one of the few who understood my English.
