On a final note. It’s sad to see GT go. In some aspects the people at GT were like a family. I didn’t talk to a lot of people, but I expected to see the same faces everytime I went (and I sure did).

So. For those that go on srk and know some of the GT heads that don’t, please call them and let them know about Gamelords if that indeed will be the place to go. They don’t have DDR and Initial D (actually you can bring DDR and a pad but that will be gay) but I’m damn sure that that arcade in Belmont Park has them (DDR at least).

I just remembered! WHAT ABOUT THE LITTLE KIDS!? The little white and Mexican kid, and their brothers! Also that black kid!? Man…GT kept them out of the streets :sad: I had good memories with those fuckers. Most recent was when little white and Mexican boy were spraying my car with silly string. Then I chased them around…which resulted in my keys falling out of my pocket, and getting picked up by some Mexican guy.

i don’t know about this new place. it’s not like i have a stick i can use at gamelords or anything. then again, i think it’s closer than GTA was, so that’s a plus. i’ll check it out though.

I’m gonna miss this place. They arent going to reclocate… its closed down for good. I called them today right when i got home from school. It was pretty shocking for sean(the guy you always see at the counter) too because he just knew about it yesterday… Everything has been sold guys, everything. The saimese cabs, DDR machine, Wangan, I-D, everything. It’s a shame to see this place go. It was the only place i went for for compitition…I hope to see this place come back some day. Nickel city will never be the same for me.

I know I’ll miss GT… only place within walking distance with 3s and cvs2. I guess 3s players are out of luck since nickel doesn’t fucking have it (when they did one or more of the sticks were ALWAYS broken, guh). If everyone’s going to agree to gamelords I may want to get in on the action. I’ll need to build a new stick since the damn official sony pad I used works with every ps2 game except for anniversary collection.

I’ll miss GTA too… I remember when they had NO fighting games, and they still had the first version of Initial D… it was great to have an arcade in the hood…

There’s always GameLords, now that doesn’t provide anything close to an arcade experience but at least it’s a nice location.

Sorry for your loss guys, my family was in the area and we went to visit this place yesterday before we went to the beach. I expected to play some BeatmaniaIIDX 7th Style and fighting games but they told me they were closed. I had no idea that they were closing for good as they were taking out some of the machines.

Hopefully you guys can find another good place to play.
