Kinda weird how tournament payouts in Japan are so small. Is tournament winnings even legal? 50,000 yen = $525

By the way, in Japan, anyway money match is illegal or regarded as illegal.
Strictly, if payouts are from Participater’s fee, it’s illegal in Japan. Personal money match is illegal too.
It means that organizer directly pays money to players would be illegal. To be legal, payouts should be from other one (e.g. sponsor). So, payouts for gaming competitions are tend to be small.
And, compete in arcade (game center) is 100% illegal. It means that organizers have to pay unbelievable price for the space.
We feel like everything we wanna do is illegal !

And we’re lookin’ for sponsors everyday
we wish GODSGARDEN will be a good sample for legal gaming event.
