Kokujin still using Ryu even when pink and white dudley is in the game, is a sad thought.Oh well,Dudley is only a shadow of his former 3rd strike self in IV.
Why, why, why are they still doing that stupid “one character only” shit? Doesn’t matter if it’s double elim, or quintuple elim… you run into a bad matchup for your character and you. Are. Fucked.
I hope Evo Japan proves that the option to counterpick is a massive, massive advantage.
NSB allows counterpicking, well not really counterpicking but you can register 2 characters. I think thats good enough.
I have nothing against one character rule tourney though, to me its like saying, a tournament where you pick your best character, and proceed to try and win it, good or bad matchups, using that one character youve spent time mastering. I can see it being more satisfying. I’m still fine with having different kinds of tourneys with different kinds of rules, make each of them special.
NSB = single elim, team battle, 2 characters per person
Godsgarden = group stage round robin, then double elim, 1 character fixed per person, challenge/reject rule
