On ps3, what version of the game should I be on? I didn’t play online until like 2 weeks ago and was never asked to download any patch. Wasn’t even asked to put in the online redeem code either for that matter.
As of this week you should be running version 1.02
And now on the subject of 1.02, since the patch me and some (but not all) of my friends have been completely unable to connect under any circumstances on the PS3 version of MK. Any time we start a game it crashes during the load screen or in the character select screen. Has anyone else encountered this kind of problem? I have tried removing them from my friends list, redownloading the game data, using a completely different account, everything we could think of. The Japanese community for his game is really small so its a serious problem when we can’t connect with each other. Also it doesnt have to do with us connecting from Japan I dont think because many of us have no problems connecting. Any advice would be appreciated.

Its about 50% of the time with most people. But with certain people its 100% impossible to connect. Before the patch I was playing games with good connections with those same guys.
Last night I was playing 1v1 Ladder on Hard w/ Quan-Chi and accidentally got the “Brotherhood of Shadow” achievement (defeat opponent in Ladder mode on the Temple level without blocking). This immediately puts you into a secret fight with an enhanced Noob Saibot.
Lost the first round because I wasn’t really ready, won the second round and was about to win the third. Performed an X-Ray in what would’ve been the final blow, but the game completely froze, the PS3 unresponsive, but the background music kept playing. My PS3 has never locked-up like that before… don’t know if it’s a game glitch or my system.
I haven’t read the thread so I don’t know if this has been talked about. I play on Xbox and on several occasions in the last few weeks while in a King of the Hill lobby the game freezes and I have to restart my 360. Does this happen to anyone else?

I can’t really explain this one too well. But i was testing if it was possible to stuff a wake up attack with sub-zero’s overhead F+4 the moment the wake-up attack comes out. I picked reptile in hopes that I can possibly counter the EN. Elbow dash (which you can see i can’t) however, I noticed that when i do connect a F+4 against other wake-up attacks, in the start of the video… he gets F+4 xx iceball and instead of being frozen in place… he does not become frozen at all… though closer towards the end of this video (41 seconds)… i stuff a wakeup attack and he becomes frozen. I have not fully tested this against other people… but this can happen against reptile if he does any other wake-up except for elbow dash or EN. elbow dash.
I found a controller config Issue the other day, when playing with my friend in co-op tag team.
We had setup each of our buttons were we wanted, and they worked fine, offline.
However, when we went online to fight some teams together, he had to sign in as a guest, and for whatever reason when you are a guest on XBL controller setting just do not work, period.
We even tried setting all the controller presets the same way, but no matter what the Guest player does, they are stuck with default layout.
Well I just about had the most ridiculous lose online today, I’m guess it had to do with lag.
I was fighitng Sub with Scorp, Sub started that combo that does the freezing hit in the middle of it, he did it to far away to connect, so I decided, I’d punish with my X-Ray.
I got frozen, by the freezing hit, WHILE HE WAS STILL FACING THE WRONG WAY. It stopped my X-Ray entirely, and left my full on frozen, behind a still comboing the wrong way Sub-Zero.
I just downloaded patch 1.02 and now my game freezes evertime I press start on the main menu, making my game literally 100% unplayable. I tried to look up a solution and found to delete my game data and it should be fine but I can’t play online. Serious? I can never play online? wtf did I buy this for then?

Anyways, I was playing as Kenshi facing Noob. While I was performing the start-up of Kenshi’s Xray, Noob performed his throw at the same time and the game crashed!!

Probably known already but MK3 Cyrax has their pre-patched bomb/net traps intact, and MK2 Smoke has the Smoke Bomb OTG intact.
LEAVE THEM IN AND JUST ADJUST SCALING SO THEY DON’T SUCK ANYMORE
Anybody else finding that some of Kenshi’s comboes avt strangely? Like I’ll be juggling with :f:2, 2 
1 into Sword Uppercut but the combo counter sometimes resets mid combo.
Can someone settle something for me? When people rage quit on you (“the game session is no longer available” at the end of a match), does that affect your win/loss? I’m not sure if I saw a win being logged anyway, but I vaguely remember something different about my w/l the last time I played and that happened. Maybe I’m tripping.
Offline:
-Random crashes/freezes
-FPS slow down during some X-rays/win animations (Any characters’ X-ray or Quan Chi’s portal exit in Challenge tower missions)
-Sonya’s rip fatality lasts an extra 3 or 4 seconds. It’s not a major problem, but it’s weird that she’s standing there for a solid 4 seconds doing nothing until finally, the announcer says “Fatality!”
Online:
-Can’t choose an alternate costume without a desync happening a second later
-“This game session is no longer available!” Not sure if it’s in the desync category
-Some trophies don’t register right when they’re earned. 100 wins trophy didn’t show up for me until my 103rd win
This one’s not a complaint. How does the game find the best match for you in ranked? There are times when I’m against someone who has 1k wins-50 losses and other times when I’m against someone who has 100 wins-300 losses. I’d like if they could adjust it so that it finds “equally skilled” people.
Also, why does everyone in a lobby have 4 green bars? If that has nothing to do with connection, can someone please fill me in?
The game constantly gets stuck at the “Connecting” screen when I challenge someone to a match. Everything else in the lobby continues as normal but, I can’t cancel or anything. I have to quit the game entirely… 
Adjust the scaling? The bullshit isn’t the damage as much as the fact the damage is untechable no? And those characters don’t suck after the patch they had access to the kind of ‘extend-o-combos’ that Nether Realm has stated was unintended. They’re going bye bye.
