Life just got strange for them huh?
Early premiere review.
Next weekend is going to be rough.
A shitstorm is coming. When this movie bombs I wonder the all the SJW press gonna blame it on.
Man obviously.
Be ready for the nerd/geeks are dead articles
I think the SJW dominated press is getting more and more desperate as time goes on. It’s gotten to the point now that even women are tired of listening to their bullshit.
TLDR version of that review above:
-Original GB films were played straight, this film the 4 women are “in” on the joke and wink at the audience the whole time
-Reboot clearly establishes that proton weapons don’t kill the ghosts it only traps them…then later in the film the same weapons end up killing ghosts
-Whole film clearly bashes men
-Special effects are garbage and it’s super obvious the 4 women are pretending in front of a green screen
Is this what everyone expected?
Also like I said before you guys shouldn’t be surprised if the film doesn’t completely bomb in the box office, no such thing as bad press blah blah blah.
So it was basically Lifetime Presents: Ghostbusters with Chris Hemsworth somehow being the only worthwhile thing in it?
Gee. No one could have seen that coming. No one at all.
That said, I still wouldn’t be surprised if it did unfortunately okay enough given a) bad press is still press, b) the aforementioned SJWs, c) the related shaming of people to try to get them to see the movie or else they’re somehow sexist, d) people seeing this movie as some type of political statement to support Hillary…somehow and, last but definitely not least, e) people generally allowing shitty movies to do far better than they should as it is even without the aforementioned clusterfuck of factors.
I guess we’ll see though. If fails as it should, then the only reason I’ll be able to take any enjoyment out of that is if said failure gets rubbed in Feig’s face as well as the faces of whoever else supported this tripe for blind reasons that were ironically likely more sexist than the limited amount of actual misogynists among the many people against this now-confirmed terrible movie.
Grand opening. Grand closing.
The same thing feminist and SJWs always do. They’ll gonna link it to some hated over women and throw in everything from domestic violence to rape to try and make it seem like anyone who doesn’t like the movie are all in support of those things. It will be kind of like when razor makes a uninformed stupid as fuck post about feminism and women except the trolling will be even more obvious and blantant.
It probably won’t do THAT well even if the general US audience sees it, since China bans all films with supernatural elements(i.e. ghosts, spirits, etc.).
Without that sweet China money, this shit would need to do Civil War US numbers to make its money back… and that ain’t happening.
How they end up spending 150M’s on this shit though?
If I was to watch it I’d get the feeling that I’d be asking myself that question the entire time. “This shit really took 150 million to make?”
Didn’t they adjust the projected revenue opening to something like 50 million. I think they know this movie will be a huge drain at the box office so maybe they’re counting on DVD sales.
(Hey, even shitty special effects cost a lot of money.)
Also, given that this was (seemingly rightfully) in development hell for so long, I wouldn’t be surprised if that was part of the bloated cost. I wonder if the re-shoots are included in that cost as well.
Wait, what? What are your sources for this? I’m not entirely disbelieving now that I think about the Chinese movies I’ve seen, but this is the first time I’ve ever heard that was supposedly an explicit ban on it even with the other shit they ban, especially compared to the stupid they don’t ban and instead lap up.
looks at Transformers and Batman v. Superman in unveiled disgust
Still, if true, then that’s good to hear about China. [/a sentence he never thought he’d utter]
So more sites are posting that it’s at BEST mediocre…but then again these are the early reviews so it’s sure to dip lower eventually. I still doubt it will make what they expected it to make.
It’s currently sitting at 78% on rottentomatoes.com and at a 63 on metacritic
So…i guess pretty mixed with more people liking it than disliking it
It should slide once the YouTube people get to see the regular release. I have no plans to ever watch the movie but I am excited to watch people rip into it.
Solid movie. Not great but it’s not even as close to bad as people want it to be.
http://furiousfanboys.com/2016/07/sony-may-produced-positive-ghostbusters-review-youtube/
Sony paying PR people to start Youtube channels months before the movie came out just to make positive reviews. They knew the movie sucked and their agenda exposed and took counter measures.
This shit is shameful. Sony the same company that hires the producer that rapes singers but pushing an “feminist” movie.
I can’t take a website called Furious Fanboys seriously. The agenda is just too in your face.
No one on SRK takes you seriously. Your whole comment is ironic coming from you lol.
