Lol I read Love Hina too. Well my homeboy Yuji Ueda who is Sagara Sanosuke’s seiyuu also did Keitaro’s voice so I kind of had to check out his starring role now and see how it botched the manga like anime tends to do ha ha! He does Jin Saotome’s voice, Balrog’s(Ninja) voice, Zappa of Guilty Gear and a bunch of others. Yeah that’s my story and I’m sticking to it… :arazz:
On Topic - Not liking the look of the interiors. I dunno, I’m more of a fan of the cartoon, particularly all of the episodes written by JMS and the ones voiced by Lorenzo Music (RIP…) than I am of the films themselves. So I’ll probably pass on this along with the next gen game. Give Egon back his twisty hair please…

While we’re on topic of the cartoon, the full series is being released by Time Life on DVD this fall. I started a topic about a month and a half ago, but it was confirmed a few days ago, with more info coming during Comic Con.
Great news. The previous 3 DVD volumes which only released a few random episodes was BS. The whole series man, that’s hot. I still wish there was an option to not hear David Coulier’s voice and swap it out with Lorenzo Music’s voice though. Ah well…

In the later episodes of the series Lorenzo Music was replaced by David Coulier (Joey, Full House). JMS eluded to it being Bill Murray’s fault.
The ‘RUMOR’ goes that Bill Murray didn’t feel that Lorenzo Music sounded like him, so he was replaced with Dave.
Years later Bill Murray voiced Garfield in the Live Action movies, the character who Lorenzo Music voiced for Garfield’s entire animated carreer.
Yeah, those guys sound nothing alike… 
Could never get into Dave’s Pete. It always sounded like he was faking a voice while Lorenzo’s sounded natural. Winston being played by Arsenio Hall and then Buster Jones was a pretty smooth transition. Jeanine’s voice really changed but JMS came back to the show later to explain away her epic transformation via demon morphing her and no one noticed lol!

He died after that. GB went off the air in '91 and Lorenzo was still doing Garfield and Friends up until that wrapped in '94.

Anyway, I don’t think it’s garbage at all. It’s not like Tokyopop themselves draws this. Garbage is a word I’d save for generic techno music used in flash games, or a fat white kid freestyling DDR.
The art is really solid in my opinion. It looks like it’s being done by a talented artist, and not some 14 year old girl with a deviantArt account.
In related news, I read that Winston was supposed to have a greater role in the Ghostbusters movies. He was originally supposed to be the guy that got slimed in the hotel by Slimer. They switched it to Peter on the day of the shoot. He was also the one to think up the Marshmallow Man, then they switched it to Ray. Kind of messed up. But this is from his mouth, so maybe he’s just BSing.
I dunno, I think both worked out well in the end. The Peter and Slimer rivalry in the cartoon was classic and wouldn’t work as well if Slimer didn’t slime him in the flick. I can’t picture Winston thinking of Stay Puff…
I mean it was messed up that he was the straight up token character, a team of 3 Caucasians and one African American in New York City, riiiiiight… He was the only one who didn’t go to college, what was up with that???
But it was the 80s. At least they didn’t kill him off in the first 5 minutes or make him Satan like they did to freaking Bill Cosby once… Like Ernie said, it was 24 years ago…
With regards to race in movies we still have a looooong way to go but things have gotten a lot better since then, I’d say it’s like 3 steps forward and 2 steps back nowadays, and that’s being genorous…
The cast of Extreme GB was much more like what an actual NY team of Ghosbusters would be like. Never did like Extreme too much, just loved the original art style more is all. Still wouldn’t mind owning the series though.
that whole company that was releasing the cartoons on upn was crazy. all the shows were pretty dark…its like if u gave darkhorse an animation company and told them to make kids cartoons those are what they would make. i remember what cartoon being about this secret agency stopping an alien invasion and main guy was abducted and experimented on…wtf thats not a kids cartoon thats the plot to the next sci fi channel show. lol 
and i believe winston…shit like that happened all the time back in the day and i agree wit sano it would have ruined one of the classic parts of peter/slimer story. once again continuity…something kids shows didnt have back then. jms took that shit seriously.

Non manga styled Ghostbusters coming from IDW. LOL the writer obviously hates everything about Ghostbusters except the first movie, so I’m gonna pass on this too. How much you want to bet the JMS written episode where the guy had the flute that could destroy the world will be better than this new comic?
After E3 I’ve decided to pick up the video game though, online play is too good to pass up. And I downloaded the first movie on to my PS3 via the PSN store. Nostalgia’s wearing me down, I guess.
