Thomas Jane Punisher just needed a good bad guy. Travolta hammed it up and is a horrible villian. I am bad, AIN’T IT GREAT! War zone punisher was campy, but enjoyable in a straight to video low expectations kind of way. I didn’t like Ghost Rider. Nick Cage has a quota and can only be good every 5 movies he makes.

Not a good look. Sure I can trust these guys to pull off some crazy ass action sequences, but to just gun it like this w/ an iconic GR villian? I hope that this film is good, because I’d like to see Vengeance in GR3.

I hope they at least keep some personality from the comics. I’ve only read the Jason Aaron run with Blackout but it was great. Even though that whole run seemed to be about building Blackout up to look awesome then having the fight over in literally 1 or 2 panels. 
At the very least the action scenes look like they will be amazing. I just recently got into the Ghost Rider character (have read Essentials V. 1, Road to Damnation and Aarons whole run only so far) and I reallly wanted this movie to be good. It looks like it might be trashy, but should hopefully have some cool effects. If nothing else maybe in another 4 years or so they can just try again!
Bought this on BR today for $20, and watching it convinced me that some critics and movie viewers need to get off their high horse. This reboot is a real treat for fans of Ghost Rider because it points the character of Johnny Blaze in the right direction. I thought the kid’s acting was pretty damn amazing; seeing him in the bonus documentary made me believe that he’d knock the shit out of Bieber if they made contact.
The action scenes were high octane as expected. The only fight I didn’t much enjoy was Blackout vs GR. The dialogue may or may not hold your attention (did for me as a fan anyway), but other than that, this movie is better than what the reviews painted it as.
Yeah I finally just saw it too and it was pretty gritty and I like it. It was pretty much what the first movie should’ve been.
