MGS3 intro > MGS2 intro. Bad thing is about MGS3 intro is that you have to “unlock” it in a sense. In other words, you have to get through the prologue of the game and then watch it. From then on you can see the intro after the company logo screens.
The intro is very James Bond-ish and fits very well with the game. Although it’s not as exciting as MGS2’s, it certainly has more style.
My local arcade has iidx Red now. This guy there tonight… oh my god. Hella hard song and he was just raping it. I swear I saw him stick his dick in the song’s ear one time. Wow.
The Atlantis I think has it on order… I’m not totally sure. Maybe Jon can post up something about it?..
GARY.
DO YOU SPEAK OF SVGL!!!
O_O
Tell them to get #R and I am moving for life.
Alex is another grappler, so it’s sort’ve redundent… I would suggest a character that has an easier time against some of Geif’s hardest match-ups. Honestly, you should try to stick with only one character until you’ve mastered him, THEN find your second character. That’s my goal right now; I will just play Yun / Random for about a month, so I have to learn him inside-out before I can go on to another character. :karate:
If you can play ST style correctly, Ryu. You have Dp’s, fireballs and most AA’s are easy as well. Supers are level 3, so you have invincibilty and what not. Very basic. But he gets killed by a lot of range characters since he has a hard time getting in due to a lack of a hyper jump and him missing his hop kick to go over low limbs.
If you know how to play 3S, and understand that correctly, then pick Alex. He has dash, parry and hyperjump. He also has his universal overhead. His supers are easy his grab isn’t 360 like Gief, and his grab super is 360.
But overall, pick whatever suits your style. If you can play Gief correctly, try out Ryu since their groove style is the same.

P.S. Scott, I played MGS3 last night, omw to get Sokolov, but had to save since Rob wanted to play CFE. So far, it looks intense, especially the HALO (High Altitude Low Orbital) jump that he did. I just can’t wait to meet up with Revolver Ocelot.
JP, I beat the game today. My play time was about 18.5 hours. Pretty chunky for a Metal Gear game. I think MGS2 was about 10 hours my first run through. I’m looking forward to playing through the game over and over again. Seems like there’s plenty of stuff to unlock… not to mention finding all those frogs and unlocking whatever there is to unlock.
Overall, the game is top fucking tier… like Cable good… Slayer good… Ken good… Sakura CC (Cvs2) good… Jedah and Anakaris’ love child good. 10/10 in my books.
Boss fights were all very fun and unique… though fighting The Sorrow and Volgin were frustrating at first.
Hmm, well, lemme know what’s up then. I’m kinda rusty on both games anyways. I basically stopped playing competitively for TTT/T4 after the T4 northwest regionals. Wanted to play some people to get refreshed on the game before T5 hits.
By the way, are you the same Rob that I played TTT/T4 at Circus a few years back?
I dunno??? If they guy u played was a dominator then it was probably me
I barely touched T4… i played everyone in TTT… I did go to TTT regionals in Seattle back in the day… top 10 baby… heh Julia/Michelle (I cannot believe I used that team back then… hehe)
