To clear some things up, not everybody will be FORCED to play poker. Like I mentioned before, a $5 deposit will be required at the door. In exchange for your $5, you will be given $5 worth of poker chips. AFTER MIDNIGHT, anyone still retaining poker chips may trade them back in towards the deposit money. If you have $1 in chips, one dollar refund. $50 in chips, fifty bucks back. No chips, no refund. If you leave before midnight, no refund. No costume, $5 less refund.

Hey Vinh, hehe yea, and I bet I will see a ton of Christy peeps (cause she’s a mash happy character), Law (cause his punches can be annoying if mashed), Paul (cause people will try to abuse d+1, d+3, 2, and maybe the occasional ass who would do 1,2 which in this case won’t work), some scrub will also decide to play Raven (cause of how he looks with the 34 color), Marduk cause he’s big and I dunno some people just think they can mash with him too, who knows, maybe some Kings??? I dunno, he’s really complicated if played wrong :p. So you see, I’m dying to see how the SC2 players right now will act once they see how Tekken really is.

P.S. Sorry for being an ass (this past few weeks, especially to Jared) but, as for Tekken, this isn’t no SC2, Tekken 5 is WAY WAY WAY different. As for CFJ…well lets just wait for the game to see :tup: . LB: no XX from what it seems like, so I don’t think anyone will go, but if CFJ is over there, hmm that might say otherwise. But I might drag Rob for the Game Newton type of tourney on that Friday for CvS2. As for “if there is a way to play #reload” I think that was answered during the SBO quals this year where we had to go to a different location (15mins from SVGL ) and play in another persons house. Andrei: We went and watched David Copperfield and Rob wanted to have his baby (least he was raising his hands when David Copperfield asked that question :wow: ) . Dinner was awesome too, Bistro Roxy is tight if you guys haven’t been there yet (the breadgirl last night made it better though Drei, LOLOL :badboy: )
Hey now, the last 2 jobs I got was thanks to 2 of my friends. Now now, Paul’s doing a good job here and we may get a few complaints here and there, but very minimal. I just think that his comment only suggests a question that even I am wondering. And that is, “you have a job??” :bgrin:.
Yeah JP, actually I’m a Christy button masher scrub myself. Only people that really know how to play Tekken like Gary, Avarus, and yourself have beatened me. Probably other peeps that can beat me in Reno Crew, just didn’t have an opportunity to play them. I have the Time Attack Record at Reno Hilton for Tekken 4 with Jin. I just recently try to beat my record, and I totally forgot how to play with Jin. Perhaps I should dust off my Tekken 4 and start practicing, which is gonna be hard to do since Dead or ALive Ultimate comes out next week.
What chars are people gonna play in Tekken 5? I think I need a really simple char. Thinking of Lei or King or Law. Need to leard to do law’s dragon stance cancel shit.

JP, Good post about Tekken 5 scrubs? Falling leaf = d+4,2 Bring on scrubs. God Bless them (us?). So long as the game doesn’t take forever, like SC2 on best of 19 rounds did.
From what we’ve heard so far, 50% is pretty typical for combos. Asuka doesn’t seem overpowered.
Which game made more money GGXX or SC2?
Will Tekken 5 dedicated cabinets (with Playstation controller ports) make pads cooler than sticks because they will be easier to carry around? (and easier to use regardless of weather you have a stool or not).
I’ve been working on my Steve Fox. Coming along nicely. I had to give up my old character, Hwoarang. I can’t play any of my T3 or TT characters since T4 is so different. I just had to start from scratch.
As for what JP said, sorry dude. The more I play tekken the more I realize how identical Tekken 4, SC2 and VF4 are. THROW THROW THROW. JAB JAB JAB! JAB THROW JAB THROW YEAH YEAH YEAH!

Hehe Gary :bgrin: it’s the truth though seriously, I’m dying to play this game since the last time I touched Tekken was TTT and Rob beat me out of playing that game, so it got to the point of not being interesting anymore. But after playing T5 at Evo, hehe made me realize how much I loved Tekken too. So I’m going back to learning this game. As for Tekken being the same as VF4 and SC2, sure it’s about pokes, but there’s more to it than just that. Biggest thing behind the game now from what Rob taught me so far is that, it’s hard to play far range in the game since it can go both ways, either hurt you or help you (Lei Wulong during the TTT finals, when the Korean just stayed full screen with his back turned)). JC: I played Tekken since Tekken 1 (arcades), but I never was a good player back then. I know a couple of moves like Paul’s falling leaf combo, his 10 string, his counters, also learned Kings’ Multi Throws cause it’s fun to see scrubs cry cause of it, during T3, when Heihachi came out, he was fun to play too. But I learned a lot of stuff the other night with Robin teaching me, so I can’t wait to see the game.

Heheh, yea, me and Rob has been practicing shit out lately, playing CvS2 with no Rolls is funny, and hard at the same time. But Tekken is different. I like to see how I’m going to fair on this game, it’s not like SC2 where it’s gay. At least in Tekken, side-steps are worth doing, rather than worrying about an 8way move like SC2.
