what i try and do is set up with d. K, s. S, d. D then jump tatami. it forces them to block when they get up and then either do d. D tatami, combo or TK overhead attack.
from her overhead in the corner you can RC, airdash P, S, D, land d. K, s. S, superjump, S, D, airdash S, D… thats the real fancy shit though
combo in the corner and works off the throw too that doesn’t require FRC and RC:
c.d, matt, j.p, j.s, j.d, dash forward (LOW off the ground after you bounce them off the corner with the air dust), repeat air s, air d., land, s.s, j.s, j.d.
untechable and does roughly about 50% and 35% off the throw in the corner…but if you have meter, you can RC and do another repetition but it does pixle damage, so i just save my meter for the next setup.

Hey guys, let’s just stick to Baiken strats. Take anything else to PMs.
If you jump and airdash in while Baiken is low to the ground, you can do j.S -> j.P -> j.K, and the kick will bring the opponent into the air slightly. If you dashed low enough, you can jump up again with j.S -> j.D (FRC), or if you don’t have any tension, go for j.S -> j.P -> j.K (JC) and then either j.S -> j.D or j.S-> j.P -> j.K xx Youzansen, although that last one might be character specific.
this is a little bit random but, i was playing my friend yesterday who was using venom and i found out an interesting thing about his super. if they start it right in front of you (like d. D, carcas raid or whatever the name is but anyway thats the pritty common use of it) then you can do baikens counter with S and it will hit them, and since that counter has a small amout of invincibility frames the super will go right through you.
you could also do her counter with K but its a lot less useful cuz itll usualy leave you open for free hits on you.
just remember they gotta start it right in front of you, if they do it to far yull do the counter and then the end of the ball will catch you and yull look stupid.

Well, the only character I love to play as is Baiken, I can easily pull off most of her combos, so it just kinda feel’s natural to play as her… but, anyways… to me Baiken’s worst match-ups are: potemkin, zappa, eddie, and sol.
Her counters are possibly the most useful things in the game for the simple fact that she can easily combo off the 214+P. There are also some great combo’s that can take advantage of her visually impressive 623+S(youzansen). And it can be done an infinite amount of time in the air.
I have never been able to get 6239S to work reliably for me, don’t know why (not to say that it won’t work, since many people swear by it)… I use 6321473S and it comes out 100% of the time. I’ve also been experimenting with 23896S, which works decently as well, and is a bit faster to execute.
Zakuta, for the 6239S, do you have to let the stick go to neutral at any time? I’m thinking after the 3 maybe. Or is it one smooth motion, like 62359S? I’d like to switch to this way of doing Instant Youzansen, since it’s probably faster to execute than the hcb+up-back, df+Slash I do now.
i don’t know if it was stated before but baiken has 2 types of air dusts…one pushes her back alot while the other doesn’t push back and allows her to fall much quicker. This is done by cancelling the air dash to a quick dust attack (if u practice dashing dusts with diff timing, u’ll notice the difference). Once u get this dash cancel dust down, her dust loop setups are much easier.
heres my loop in the corner:
2D, tatami, j.p, j.s, j.d frc [dash d], land, j.s, j.d frc dash d, land, repeat. half tension meter does crazy ammounts of dmg and this works on everyone i believe. basic and dangerous.
It’s 62369S - but when I do it I barely notice when I do 6, so I leave that one out.
To do it a ‘tad’ easier - 632369S.
Opponents tech quicker after you keep doing that, so there will be a point where you have to end the combo properly.
As well as the fact that you have to have a different type of loop for each charcter, as I don’t think there is one that will work on everybody. That combo you mentioned doesn’t work on Bridget.
That is correct. Everyone seems to fall differently due to their size or something.
There is this one question I was wondering. Is there a combo/ infinite that you can do with Baiken. Example, Millia has this one combo at the corner where you cannot get out if you get caught in it. Or the simple slayer semi infinite bite combo.
I always get caught Millias so called infinite juggle combo. With out my burst i can’t even tech out of it.
As far as ‘infinites’ for Baiken - nope, she has none, as once you dust loop you’ll end up going farther away, the opponent will tech faster than normal and you’ll have no more tension to continue looping.
To my knowledge there is only one Millia IAD infinate, but it takes so little that its pointless. Its also extreamly hard to do, and I believe its only possible on potemkin.
