GGXX:Accent Core Thread! [AMERICAN PS2 RELEASE, GO GO GO!]

It’s not THAT expensive to play guilty gear anymore man. You can find it anywhere… for SOME console. The speed at which you learn this game is a function of how much fun you’re having. When you’re having fun, you aren’t thinking. If the gameplay looks fun, it prolly won’t be hard for you. And once you start playing, you’ll learn a lot more than just burst grabs and slashbacks!

Hey guys, i just got into this game (somewhat). Can anyone give me some tips and tricks with Robo-Ky? Thanks

Since I assume that only, at best, half of the people in a thread read the first page when posting it, I will say this (first page link) is literally The Robo-Ky’s Owner Manual when it comes to the Better-Ky.

You can also try and ask Stormlocke for some questions since he posts here as well, but I suggest you don’t pester him since then he’ll be on my ass.

My bad, :looney: thanks for the link

holy shit! your avatar is april from coyote ragtime show

that is… AWESOME

omg otaku weeaboo…

Wait a minute…

stfu, bubz juice :annoy:

and what does weeaboo mean?

So I dropped Testament and picked up Slayer. WAY more newb friendly, especially coming from a 3S background. Also, the rediculous amount of damage always helps…

regardless of execution requirements, it’s true that slayer is really simple strat-wise

I hate Slayer’s “anyone can instatly drape the fuck out of anyone style” a complete GG scrub can pick up Slayer and spaz out. I know from personal experience.:annoy:

yeah if you just get down a lot of slayers easier combos, you can pretty much just rape people, sure you lose the threat of damage from EVERYTHING, but if anyone makes a mistake you can kill them on the spot, and at most of americas level, its very very easy to find that mistake.

bbu and punch overdrive pretty much rape any mistakes for free.

Slayer is cable.

Agreed. It really sucks for me because I play Milliia. Counter character ftl.

Slayer simply has one of the best risk reward ratios ever given to a fighting game character. He’s newb friendly at low level play, he’ll hit a brick wall fast if you don’t learn how to play intelligently. I disagree with spazing out with him however, it’s not that difficult to kill a slayer who mashes randomly, he’ll leave himself open eventually.

He’s a character with insane horseshit in this game, the sooner you learn to accept it, the better you can fight him. If he has 50% you have to be extremely careful with what you do and how you advance, DoT is dumb, but you can find ways around it with some intelligent planning. If you play a character with poor defense, slayer’s always raped you anyway so it’s not really anything new. Slayer is a character you just need to learn your matchup very well against, because you will see him in tournies, and people who play him at a high level with punish you for small mistakes, and that will be enough to win.

Hmm. Does Millia have anything that reliably beats Slayer’s j.h? I can do 6p some times, but it usually trades.

millia’s 5p can shoot down loose jump-ins, but i think it’s a bad idea in general for millia to try to anti-air slayer

I know, but I had to ask just in case. I’ll just use winger lol.

american otaku, wapanese, etc.

wtf, there’s such a term??

i’m not white though

i played you at evo north btw… good ish
