At the end of the day, this is a video game and video games are still niche and playing it with someone who both cares enough to play a set with you offline and cares enough to be good at it is both a rarity and a pleasure. GGS is thanking that friend for both the presence of a friend and partner in this street fighter journey.

If I don’t believe it was a good game, or believe I lost to some bullshit because I was playing poorly I just keep that shit to myself. If it’s a bad game I don’t tell a nigga shit. I don’t even message people that RQ on me anymore because them niggas are some bitches anyway. If you pull the plug on me you’re a straight bitch. I try to distance myself from any and all negativity, video game related or otherwise. That shit really brings me down.

I dont think you understand the point of training, whether in this format or another. Just because you lost doesn’t mean there weren’t things to be learned. Even if he slaughtered you he might have learned something really valuable on his end that he might not have uncovered had you not played. Skill does not dictate learning. There is many things to be learned in a close match the same as in a one sided match… this applies to many avenues of life, sports, games etc. Be thankful you got to play someone better than you. You clearly didn’t open yourself up enough to from the experience which is the real shame.
I put GG if I feel like it was a gg, the only times I never say gg is if its a crappy opponent that likes to taunt a lot, or a mashing dp opponent. Personally i’m just a noob teaching myself how to play a game so if i jump into a public lobby and get owned all the way through, im mad i lost sure, but my losses are on me and only me for not understand the game/matchups so i still say gg, to me personally a good game is anything that you can learn from. No matter if you win or loss, or even if you get your ass handed to you, if you learned at least ONE thing from the match it was a good game to me, but thats just my opinion

GG’s is pretty much the equivalent of when two teams line up to shake each other’s hands after a sports game. It’s just respectful to do win or lose.
if something like your guy saying gg after bodying you makes you mad, you need to lighten up a bit man. we’ve all got destroyed before, i’m sure for the most part we’ve all been butthurt about it at some point too. what you need to do is not be mad that your guy said gg, and go look at the tapes. check your replays and analyze why you lost so consistently. where you jumping too often? did you block well? what did you struggle to defend? did you get counterhit or frame trapped frequently? anti airs? consider the angles of the fight and the things your opponent did that worked so well against you that he went 13-0 on dat ass. and then apply it and play the game some more… only like a man this time… and dont get mad at dumb stuff that dont matter like someone saying gg to you. cuz honestly ive met a lot more people that are gona pop off after winning like that… still shake your hand and say gg… but gona’ be some serious pop off after going 13-0.
I’ve had that happen to me and it fucking sucks. How you gonna send salty hate mail to someone that you beat? wtf are you even mad about? why are you taking time out of your day to tell me how bad I am at the game, but not even offering any tips or advice?

I say ggs for good sportsmanship even if the match was awful. If they RQ or don’t say ggs I will say nothing(but I will bad talk them in the lobby later lol). I only do this on fightcade tho, on psn it’s too much of a hassle imo.
