If you’re having a really hard time mashing out of hypergrav temptest, you actually might be trying too hard and wasting time on excess motion.
Try making your motions more compact and a little slower, you might have more success.

Hi, guys…I was playing last weekend with somebody who plays with msp all the time and i kind of found out by pure luck that by flicking the joystick with my finger and let bounce around from left to right by itself while swiping buttons just a little i can get out o hyper tempest. lol it really doesn’t require that much work, before i was franticly trying to mash out of it and it rarely worked. the only thing about it is i have to watch out for is when i get out i have to stop swiping buttons lol…
Wow. That stick you were playing on definitely needs to be replaced if it’s bouncing around enough to get out of this.
i can do that at chinatown. it’s not the stick that needs fixing. it’s just the nature of some sticks…
lol, that’s what I was thinking…cause after the 4th time in a row i wiggled out of that combo, i was kinda in disbelief that it could be that simple…i haven’t tried that out on my hori joystick yet, and i don’t think it would work as easily, cause my hori doesn’t have that bounce like the ones at the arcade do.
Anyone know a fool-proof method on mashing out on pad…I seem to get it out at random (including in corner w/ Sent).
has anyone, while playing as sent, mashed out of mags corner setup and then proceeded to throw him out of MT?
I did it once, surprised both my opponent and I. wow, so random (I thought)
next time I played, I was about to do the setup to my friend’s sent. he mashed out and threw me (wow) but fuck…I needed that tempest to win the game lol: @ 6:55
i think i saw combofiend do that in a video. can’t be so sure though.
just saw the vid, it’s not really clear but i think he was not caught in the hypergrav thus he was able to block then grab. weird
hmm, you’re right it does look like that.
though I’m pretty sure that I mashed out of it to throw my opponent in the match I previously mentioned
though my noob sent sucks, I was mashing out in the corner left and right…sometimes
Mashing Up/Left to Down/Right or Up/Right to Down/Left gives you 2x the results, as the up left right and down are all being hit. Wiggle diagonal not side to side.
I may try that, but I’ve been able to get out of the tightest situations with a slight left right motion plus timed mashing…
