with magneto i have a problem with triangle jumping i always shootin two green blades after the super jump, you know the one where he crosses his arms and goes “huhh” lol. how do i stop doing that.
the green blades is a move that goes u,u/f,f+p which means your motions are too sloppy
it seems like you’re going down,up,up/forward,forward,down/forward and the blades come out when you hit the punches. so you need to tighten up the motion from when you hit to when you hit down forward.
try pulling your stick from uf to df instead. See if that helps
is mag/storm/cable a good team?
The only decent teams with Mag and Cable are Row and Mag/Cable/Cyc, and MCC isn’t very good.
Asking us what are good and bad teams isn’t going to make you better. If you have something on your mind tat you think could work, try it. Then decide if it’s good or not.
Sorry… well I don’t want to practice a wack team and lose all the time.
Play Storm/Cable/XXX and run away. People seem to not like winning by time anymore
PLEASE JUST KEEP PLAYING, you will get better, and look at more match videos, and read all the strats in the forums.
you’re asking too many questions, it’s not easy and comes with time.
ugh!
Lol. I like knowing matchups, how to end bad habits, and how to improve certain aspects of my game. I play other competitive games and I know that if I just play now with out further guidance i will just develop bad habits and hit a slump. Im not at a point where I just have to play I need the knowledge 1st and I need better people to help me.
and as I said, there is a plethora of knowledge in the threads.
all of what you’ve asked is in the threads.
I mean a few questions is cool, but you made 2 threads, and ask the same questions in each? Seriously, look through the forums, all this shit plus more is out there. then come back and ask.
and again, still playing people constantly will help you get better ok. you still need experience. I can tell you that with the teams you’re playing against, any of those cable/storm/? teams are good enough. You just gotta keep playing. hell some ok low tier teams can be good enough. try some shit out. go practice more too
try watching match videos of good players, and think about it…let it simmer in your mind.
NOW do you understand?
These strats and things we’re telling you were not realesed with the game. All of it came from people playing the game. It comes down to this: if you want to be better you need to play. We can give you the basics but YOU NEED TO PLAY. It’s the only way you will learn.
Here’s a few more things I feel any MvC2 player should know:
Do not overlook the snapout. I see alot of players do this. It’s extremly useful. You can cause your opponent to lose alot of potietail life in one combo.
Punish blind tag ins. If your opposition desperatly tags out and switches, cause as much damage as you can to the now on-point character before they recover from the pose. Or hell, snap the character they were trying to get out, back in.
eventually killing random tagins becomes second thought. snapout too (depending on play style etc.)
also, not many people punish assists like they should! but be careful of course.
read dem threads boy!
Sounds like you need to learn to use push block. Push block can totally wreck some of the lower tier characters offense. Like with Akuma doing the jab hurrcane kick, just pushblock the kick and shoot him with your gun, call out Storm, run away. Depending on your assist you could probably just eat through the hurrcane kick into AHVB.
Either way using Psylocke as point is a terrible idea.
lol I play everyday. and i cant find anything on push blocking. =( Your right I should check the threads and stop asking everything here. round of aplause for the people who helped me. lol. Especially Tigerboi.
like beatsofdevil said there’s a whole bunch of threads already with the same question’s you had already asked. Since your in the NY area, go to ctf (Chinatown Fair) at least every friday nights if you wanna improve your game.
I cant find anything about push blocking this is my last question can someone answer it please?
pushblocking is done with two punches. it puts you in block stun for a set amount of frames while at the same time pushing the opponent away. it doesnt ALWAYs push the opponent away though but with most normals or non projectiles it will save you a lot of unwanted trouble.
thanks. lol.
Yes, learn when doing that is a bad idea. I see people mess up situations in which they could punish with something big because they pushblock.
