i wish the slowdown on missing a Q sa1 was still present like the arcade.

And some of it is ass.

Yeah. A good 80% of the shit in there can be found on people’s custom sticks or on DeviantArt. D:

which ones did you not like ? i taught there were all great.

I’m really starting to hate Elena’s laugh

Kick that bitch in the throat, b. lol.

Mostly the Genzoman ones. i hate how he stretches out every character and makes all their clothes look straight out of the 70’s

However, I will not deny there are some great ones (Remy has a few, Twelve has a sick one, and of course, the original art in HI-DEF makes up for ALL of it)

Because games that are taken out of EVO’s line-up almost never come back.

I just noticed while looking at the vault that some of the character’s art have their SSF4 version. I think Chun had hers but I don’t quite remember. Just a little nitpicking I suppose.

Dear sweet lord! How long will it fucking take to fix this matchmaking. I just spent the whole weekend either staring at the “Searching for Opponent” screen or getting dced mid match.

At the very least, they should filter this shit based on timezone.

more xbl guys should get in the Peaceful Jay stream when he decides to put 3s on. only other guy ive seen from here that goes in there is tenrou

What I don’t get is, where did all that money go? It was the most money Capcom spent on a “remix” style game (I believe), but where did it go? Making or testing the matchmaking? The trash can shoryu sound effects? All the options for making a lobby? Making sure there are no random crashes or freezes? The trials? Making the beautiful DLC colors?

My guess is most of it went to buying GGPO and being able to upload to Youtube, but the GGPO is kinda pointless if I’m fighting someone out of my country to begin with, and the Youtube upload is just ass even if it works in the first place. I am so mad bro, you don’t even know.

I’m willing to bet HDR had double the budget 3SO had.

In fairness, a good portion of that went to buying snake shirts.

Is anyone else rarely seeing the opponent’s signal as green? I ususally see orange/yellow, sometimes red. Only seen green twice so far…

I wasn’t sure if there even was a green signal

I got greens for most of last night, but they were Akuma’s and as we all know, Akuma has transcended netcode and network conditions to make every match unbearable.

Yeah, if you go by what Capcom said, it was significantly higher than the budget for HDR. If you go by what Capcom did, this shit has the same budget as Final Fight.

Most of the budget went to flying out players for that secret tourney, buying/licensing art, paying someone to fuck up the music, sending Derek Neal to different events to talk about it, picking and choosing the filter options, adding trials/challenges/stuff, adding matchmaking, and finally making changes to the game itself.

Most likely from greatest to least amount of money spent. Notice how GGPO isn’t there? Capcom has owned a GGPO license for a long time now. They don’t need to buy one. D:

how do you know that ggpo license was for multiple games? anything can be stipulated in the terms.

3SO = urgent major damn patch.

I’m yet to find my first green match. I get laggy matches with friends who live ten miles away from me.

The game’s epic in every way, but playing this online is difficult and the experience… Well… Is far worse than playing on ggpo… Capcom please tune up this thing.

I don’t know where the money went but I know where it didn’t go, the QA process. Both HDR, 3sOE, and any kind of Capcom shovelware games (collections, anniversary, remake, etc, etc) lacks any kind of in-depth QA process. I suspect it’s cheaper to release a game and then patch the glitches that users find instead of spending tons of internal man hour to get everything right.
