General 3S/3S OE Thread. NO DISCUSSING REBALANCE, unless you like INFRACTIONS!

This story is very strange. xD

Something about this game is off. At first, I thought it was just me. Then I started talking to others. It’s not just me. It seems like there is input lag or something. When I was trying to do Uriens tackle tackle headbutt in the corner off of c.FP (vs shoto), I have to do the first tackle earlier than before. It’s just wrong how early I have to do it. Other staple things in the game, just weren’t right as well. Started asking around, and alot of people are saying the same thing. Then the sound started fucking up on me. I was doing combos with Urien, on Ryu, training mode, left corner. Randomly, the hit sound effects from Uriens moves would just vanish. Ryu would still makes sounds from being hit… But nothing from Uriens tackle or any other moves/normals. After 2 to 6 seconds, it would come back. (it happened multiple times) I don’t know if this had anything to do with it, but the sounds seemed to vanish more often after a second tackle in the combo mentioned above. Then, my friend started messing with arcade mode…and Ryu’s stage music just stopped during round 1. Didn’t come back for the remainder of the fight.

I feel bad for my friend. He was so hyped for this release. I was testing all this on his copy. I was going to wait for the 360 version. I hope that the 360 version doesn’t suffer from these issues.

Who the fuck cares? No one serious about this game is gonna buy extra dipswitches anyway.

^ Wow, looking like 360 or bust then…

PS3 got a lazy port because they figured it wasn’t worth the time and effort to them imo…

All things are pretty equal between the two consoles but the difference lies on how easy games are to create and port over…

Well let’s just hope that the short x a.x.e xx sa1 hit confirm works… if I can’t do it on 360 I’m done with Capcom…

I preordered this shit. Fuck.

It doesnt help the lag situation when most people don’t know what the “GGPO Delay” in options means and turn it to 0… that makes the inclusion of GGPO mostly pointless and equivalent to other netcode.

Awesome avatars Scogz.

I just hope the 360 version of OE isn’t bunko. :frowning:

its been soooo long since i have played a good fighting game by capcom, tommorow cannot come any quicker.

i swear if the online is ass i will lose all faith in humanity

So apparently back in the EVO build no one complained about the lag, not even fubarduck, and it was on PS3. So something must’ve happened between then and now.

I hope it IS bunko. That might force Capcom to patch both versions instead of just ignoring the PS3 player base.

If their is any issue with either system, I would hope/expect a patch from Capcom.

The ability to patch is one of the major advantages we now have over the 90’s cabinet only era.

I can’t really comment on all the other things you said but I can confirm that the music will randomly stop on the Xbox 360 version. At least when playing online. When I was fighting haunts I had a GGPO rollback situation occur at the end of the second round and there was no music after that point (there was still one more round left)

I wouldn’t hold my breath though, usually they just ignore stuff like this. At best the audio issues might be patched.

Japanese players use PSN on a vast majority. Do you seriously think Capcom won’t do anything for them? (if a real problem exists)

The only thing that could happen would be that Capcom has a patch in store for both versions that iron out the wrinkles. The EVO build was the most current version so it had all that shit installed already.

Or maybe no one cared at EVO, considering it was just an exhibition/big ass trailer.

^

Don’t rain on my parade son…

I already felt like a dumbass over Duke Nukem Forever…

IMMA HAVE AT LEAST ONE GOOD GAME TO COME OUT THIS SUMMER:mad:

That happens from time to time… audio glitches=no problem… if this is just an online issue…

The offline is what counts(no pun intended)

Ok more stream intrigue…Fubar got an email from someone ‘important,’ and now they are testing the game on a different set-up with no stream equipment. Best stream ever.

Update: It still lags.

Yeah, I can’t recall it ever happening offline. I didn’t even notice it during my online match until I rewatched the footage.

After testing with filters off, I couldn’t pick up any lag.

I’m thinking that it’s just if you have the filters on and/or are splitting the signal in some way.

Edit: Might still be there, but slight to my rusty eye.

Link me to the stream, plz and thank you…
