Pretty damn sensitive. Not as sensitive as the ST community but definitely take it seriously. Which is why they sent 16 of the world’s top players to the development studio for the game and held a tournament to test for accuracy (including some of Japan’s best). Which means unlike the other games that only had maybe one top player test them you had 16 people who most likely all play on the arcade version the most to test for authenticity. Which means the port is probably closer to arcade perfect than we realize if they all tested it.
They said all the guys that were in the “test tournament” will be in the credits so the first thing I’m gonna do when I get the game is load up the credits and see who tested/played in tourney. Which means people are up in arms about stuff they won’t even have access to listen to when they download the game immediately (which is not a problem).
The original stuff is all intact as soon as you boot the game. As a matter of fact in order to listen to the crazy Bionic 3S stuff you have to unlock it first any way. Which means the complaints are about stuff you won’t even have to hear until you unlock it. I’ll definitely take my time unlocking Jazzy NJC.
I honestly liked the Necro/Twelve track. But that might be cause I didn’t care for their original. Still not something you would fight to in the background. More like a club mix.
The thing I’m worried about devil is that there were top american ST players who played arcade for hdr too, but it didn’t keep the game from having extra input delay and its turbo speeds weren’t even the same speed.
I’m hoping for the best cause id like to play 3s, but the ggpo version bothered me. It felt weird.
I watched that VLOG and damn I feel for him. His reaction was funny as hell though. In the past 10 years or so people been remixing CPS music. Recently a lot of new solid talent is starting to appear like GenesisKeys, WizzyWhipitWonderful, Alphadeus and many others. Yet Capcom fails again to get quality remixes of it own tracks.
Capcom can’t make decent remixes on their own either. None of the remixes in SF4 were groundbreakingly great. Some were catchy but none of them are that great outside a few.
Lets not get started in Marvel 3’s remixed synthesizer tracks.
WTH is with this soundtrack? It’s moments like this I wish I can bring back the dead and bring J Dilla and/or Nujabes to do a proper soundtrack. It’s like… No soul in the music
As for lag, we should all remember that GGPO isn’t some magic solution that totally removes lag. Depending on a thousand small factor outside of it’s control lag is still going to cause issues.
After awhile, you tend to not notice the score ticker.
Yeah the main thing I care about is whether or not there’s like slushy inputs and if the lag is bad…you’ll get more of a rewinding of the match than anything. Ideally you want a game that looks and feels like offline most of the time.
Ken’s Super 3 meter is freaking me out in the new HUD (it’s HELLA short), so I’m gonna run a little test to see how long it takes to fill up, then I’ll update this post with my findings. D:
*Edit: 41 Standing Strong Whiffs will gain ONE full super in Anniversary Edition.
The meter just looks REALLY short any time I see Derek Neal talking about the game. It really freaks me the fuck out. lol. The last time I watched him and Seth talking about it, it looked Genei-Jin short. D:
