Some basic stuff is to use the Puppet to creat unblockables. Get it so that you’re on one side and Karasu is on the other side of the opponent so that when you do strings that involve Karasu, he’ll hit them from behind so you can make it unblockable. His range game is obviously great with f+AA, d+A, u+A, etc.
His combos shuold center around his infinites since they’re so easy to perform and you have lots of ways to do it. Just repeat BA, BBA, BABA, BBABA, or f+BA, in any order as long as you want. Basically that means you could just do BA(or any of the other ones) over and over or you could get creative and do stuff like BA, BABA, f+BA, BA, BBA, f+BA, etc.
I HAD posted a revised list on gamefaqs but the topic is already gone and I don’t feel like making it again so you’ll have to wait til I feel like it =P

Well, Gai is basically Rock, but with more power and life.
That fast jab is a killer. It lets you interrupt strings/punish things you normally wouldn’t be able to punish.
Gate is a killer, and unlike Rock he really doesn’t even need to open it, since his base damage is so high anyway.
He suffers from not having a low attack, but he compensates for it by having his neutral A, which is one of the best openings attacks in the game.
His biggest weakness is probably the lack of really “safe” strings, but even that is debateable.
And Temari is low because Gasa sucks. =P
She has no safe strings, can’t do heavy damage w/o being heavily punished in return.
The basic character model is good-- but she needs serious tweaks to come up to par with the rest of the cast. She needs something more than chip damage and gimpy runaway.

Is this game still worth getting at this point and time? I have always been interested in Naruto 3 (see it played alot at local tournies…). But is it worth buying the game now? $64.00 on ebay, and a swapdisk is like $20.00 right?
Sure, it’s still worth it IMO. If TOMY follows the pattern, GNT4 won’t be out until November so you might as well still get this. Just keep in mind once the next game comes, the chacnes of you going back to play an older game are small since they just keep improving after every game.
And I know I said I’d post a tier list but I’m still too lazy right now, I’ll get to it eventually.
I just bought it like, less than a week ago and i have NO regrets, even if the next game does come out in November…
just gives me something else to save for, and if anything, its a much smaller jump from GNT3 to GNT4 than GNT1 to GNT3 was for me…
I’ve played the game almost everyday since i’ve bought it, its just too fun, and its pretty deep for the appearance. I like NO juggle is 100% guaranteed all the time because of the teleport, and that adds another level to the game of trying to figure out your opponent.
Is EBay a good place to buy it? How would I be able to play it since its imported?

The swap disc thing will let you play it, no worries. And that sounds like a decent price. You could also try Play-asia or something like that.
Um, WTF on Haku?
Try his d+X super. Sometimes when you combo after it(F+B,A,A), you gain back 75% chakra, and sometimes you gain back around 25%. If you can time meaty supers with him, you can actually just loop the super in the corner with him until they die, since you can regain the amount of chakra that you lost for the super with the combo afterwards.
I think chakra gain from combos is also dependent on how many hits go into the combo.
Did you have low life when you did that combo? There is a chakra gain boost (2x) when you have less than 10% health. There is a pretty interesting chakra forumla for this game that BrandoSerge & Mailorder looked into that I forgot to throw in the FAQ.
