I had the Power Rangers communication beep as my text alert. My ringtones vary. Some days it was one of the songs from VVVVVV or Splash Woman’s theme from Megaman 9.

I had their morpher beep thing as my text alert for a while.
Can’t lie…I have the Bayonetta theme song play when the wife calls. We aren’t the kind of people who are always calling each other, so it’s kind of funny still when that song goes off. “BRB guys, Bayonetta is calling…”
And “Take You For a Ride” plays when any of my SF playing buddies calls.
Otherwise, I use a kind of standard non-annoying ring for everything else.

haha I see many are using the MGS codec…but it’s just perfect (I use the MGS1 ver). Also the fully powered up beam katana sound effect from No More Heroes.

I have Duds 3S stage music as my ringtone. Not obnoxious, and if you don’t know 3S (i.e. most people) you wouildn’t know what it was.
I have the Mario Bros. “1-up” as my text tone. Most console gamers would recognize it; to anyone else it just seems like a random 6 notes I guess.
One of my friends has “gonna take you for a ride” as my contact-specific ring.
The OG Konami logo is my wake-up alarm on my phone. Best sound to wake up to.
Sifu, once again, G status for the Wild Arms tone. That is one of the best songs in any RPG ever. Can’t believe I forgot about it. Crazy thing is, I listen to the [media=youtube]1zW5U9I-tPo[/media] of the song almost everyday… shame on me.

These days I think cell phone ring tones are pretty obnoxious and I wish people would just keep them on silent/vibrate (although I can’t hate on anyone with any type of MGS ringtone), but when I was in high school and had one of those old brick nokia cell phones that everyone had 8 years ago, I programmed one of my bands songs on it as my ring tone. Looking back that was pretty geeky.

Also, i agree about the Gurren Lagann tune. Epic, as is the series.
As much as I hate SFIV, I have the Super SFIV arcade select as my current ring tone, starting at the main riff.
