although the 3rd person view looks nice i’ve always felt that the fact that you can hide behind walls and see around them at the same time makes the game feel somewhat less competetive. I’ve only played GOW3 twice and that was a while ago so i’m probably wrong.

You can also tell your other teammates where the other team is if you died by using the ghost cam to look around the map. That and what you said really dont make the game less competitive. The game is easily one of the best competitive games on XBL.

The only thing I do in horde is make walls, already maxed out the fortifications to lvl 8. Gonna try to get my decoy stuff up next time I play horde.

Horde is boring… dont really find it fun to shoot the computer for 3 hours over and over. Would rather play against human competition. Just like fighting games… dont want to play arcade mode over and over.

Ranked execution has been unforgiving lately. Can only find matches against clans with above 2.0 K/Ds (which is really good for Ranked Execution) and like above 15.0 W/Ls.

I need to find a team soon. Getting spit up and chewed out with randoms. I am getting better though by getting my ass kicked in Ranked Execution. I got to play Quick Team Deathmatch and it is like a vacation. I could play that mode in a coma the competition is that much shittier.

I finally sat down and played through Raam’s Shadow. Was definitely good stuff. I’m going to try to put Gears back in my rotation of games after a small hiatus.

The scorcher became the best weapon in the game for a short time, literally would down people in less than 2 seconds. They brought it back down.

Also, they put back stopping power on retro and hammerburst. And according to CliffyB’s twitter Overpass has been removed from the online rotation, only temporary.

I’ve spent the past 2 weeks boosting for Golden Hunter (for shame, I know, I just hate 99% of locust skins, and made a goal for myself), I’m 600 lancer kills from getting it hopefully will have it tomorrow then back to my grind for 100.

Surprisingly, I play smarter now when I go online, instead of retardedly…

Is your friends list still open? I’ll add you if you want. I’m usually down to run some execution if we have a full party. I’ve got plenty of people to play with so we usually can scrape together five people. If not, we usually just mess around in KOTH working on wall-bouncing/shotgun stuffs.

Going to re post my level tier list as it has changed since last time (it is basically a personal opinion list on how much I enjoy the maps). Remember that most of my opinion comes from Execution and not TDM.

S: Hotel, Old Town, Depths
A+: Clocktower, Azura, Bullet Marsh
A: Trenches, Academy, Gridlock, Drydock, Mercy, Escalation
**B+: **Checkout, Blood Drive, Slab
B: Rustlung, Anvil
C: Thrashball

And something is wrong with the remake of blood drive. I think it just might be the gears 3 engine has shorter cover slide distances than gears 2. Oh and it seems more open in the middle

New map packs coming out in march 27th, all of them seem to have that gimmicky sandstorm shit on trenches.

Yeah i heard they wanted all the new maps to have weather gimmicks (Left Bumper to victory). I think Jacinto has heavy rain.
If they want to bring back maps with gimmicks, where the hell is avalanche.

Yea I thought the buff from the flame nades was a little much. The total area around where you can kill someone is way to big. I thought it was fine before where it was pretty much a direct hit meant a kill.
