Im pretty sure he is, everything he’s talking about sounds like a feint.
Those are done with dwn+ab or f+ab, and they can be canceled into like regular specials and decrease your recovery time as they can also be canceled out of. There is more to it than that but If you just search back in the thread this has all been covered.
Everyone pretty much already answered the question all the cancels you are looking at are feint cancels. Also they are done with fwd + A + C and down + A + C, not A + B. Hotarus air chains are A, B or A, C. In that match they use A, B since its the most consistant air chain for her. A, C usually works better on bigger characters like Grant and Tizoc. Here is a guide can help you out with game engine info:
A, B is more consistant especially if they happen to duck at some point when you jump in. I never said you couldn’t do her A, C chain on everyone. I only mentioned it being easier to land on bigger characters, since you dont have to hit A early to land it on them.
Those people are either retarded or ignorant. If its the latter, then its your job to give them the information needed to debunk their misconceptions. I can usually get people to play the game, but once they see how steep the learning curve is (from intermediate to high level) they go back to 3S.
Never hurts to try though
PS: Noc! You’re never online when I’m available for games. We had some great matches before and I’ve been looking forward to playing you again. Get the hell back online danget :arazz:
PPS: Griff v Kevin is still the most impossible match-up in this game (for Griff) and I’m about ready to stop trying to figure it out. Someone, anyone give me some hope in this match
If you want, we can go some matches online. Noc is much better than I am online, but I know I can help you with Griff v Kev, since I’m a Kev whore. You can play against me and learn what beats what, and what not to do…or just rape me and laugh at me while I bitch about lag :looney:
Really good tip against Kev is to not mash 360 while blocking. Kev’s s/cA can beat it, same goes for all of Griffs supers.
Ah sorry for misunderstanding, but thanks for reminding me of her A, B chain. Speaking of which, Gato has the A, B chain as well but sadly it does less damage for combos than if u use Jumping C or D.
What are some attacks that Jae’s QCFx2+K are not affected by? I notice sometimes when my opponent does their UOH/A+B and while Jae is in the dashing portion of his super, the super will connect with some but not with others.
It depends on when they do the A+B, but at times it will either beat out A+B’s or trade hits. I wouldn’t use A+B to try to beat out his super in the first place. A+B’s are risky if used at the wrong times, especially when someone has super stocked on wake up.
Btw Im curious to know (though I feel I already know the answer) does Garou get played often in Japan? I know some arcades are quite specialist in that certain games on feature there but for those arcades that have Garou, does it get played a lot?
Not as much as Third Strike, but it does get played. There were two four-slot Neo cabinet where I went to play at Hey! in Akihabara, and Garou got a LOT of play on them; it seemed it was either Garou or RBFFS always being played on those two (Last Blade 2 was on a separate cabinet, and the KOFs were played on different machines in another row, that had a couple of Neowaves, and a couple of four slot’s with dedicated different KOFs).
It does get played, but its not everywhere. Im pretty sure there was no Garou at MORE, and I only remember seeing Garou at one other arcade when I was there. I didn’t hit alpha though. But at Hey!, I definitely had access to a lot of comp, which is why I made the big jump in my abilities between Evo’s.
Of the two in Hey!, one used the curved four layout, and the other that I usually played on had a toggle switch so you could change it from either 2x2 or curved.
