that combo would be much easier to do if it used the f+AC feint, but he seems to be using d+AC.
Because his d + A+C feint recovers faster than his f + A+C feint.
jae’s best feins is d+AC
btw nice vid thx
good arcade version?what is that?
don’t u play original MVS?
i assume working and worth learning only stuffs possible in the original
Yea I say good working version cause there are some prototype MVS roms still out there in some places.
ok here’s a hint to find if a cartridge is fake/proto
pick jaehoon or dong hwan
with jae execute qcf*2 D DM you will notice that the atatatatatatatata sound is quicker than in the original version
the same is for dong’s hidden qcf*3 C here the entire dm execution is faster
and are the same as kawaks or mame rom that are around…
play original!!
If you’ve seen more than that while playing online it’s because “that person” uses Macros. It’s also my guess as to why he pauses (not literally, just no input) after picking a new character.
Noc…
THANKS A TON! I always wanted to know what the heck that dp stuff was. Does that mean awesome option select or what?
Like after a reset can Butt go for qcfqcf+A+D for the overhead, then safely beat out a super with D if they go for that?
Same with Dong (i cant test now) will I get a close A or C that I can cancel off of and beat a super with A if they go for it?
Another thing with Dong… does it make it go any faster? I believe that fast Grant super was guaranteed after qcb+B, but he beat it. Does performing this or some other method make me able to beat it with my Dp?
Pretty much yes it is like a option select as in with Dong if you did the dp + A +D his stand A comes out. If you hit A again his dp will come out because the motion stays stored with the A+D method. So it is like a reflex type thing where if you see the super or what not then hit A to beat it out with his dp + A pretty much. What will happen is you will kara his stand A so you’ll see it for a slight bit then his dp + A comes out. Same for Marco as it can be used as a mixup so if lets say Kevin did his wake up P kick super as your doing f + A. Then all you need to do is just press D as its happening. So it karas the f + A special into his super like I explained before. Grants super has a bit of start up so a lot of things can beat it out not just his dp + A. Since that move is usually safer to stick out instead of just stand A, so dp + A will beat it. Cause from what I saw it looks like they do the motion while grant is blocking the qcb+ B. So it would go something like qcb + B, while Grant blocks that do, dp + A+D, wait then hit A if he supers. Pretty much it’s like a shortcut for getting a 100% reversal with his dp + A. So that would be a good example of a Dong option select and it also works with other characters as well.
Edit:
Mhata just updated his site with more Garou matches check them out here on the top:
http://www.ops.dti.ne.jp/~mhata/garou/movie.htm
This time they are in .wmv format, 125 matches total and it seems to be Terry vs Kain mainly. Enjoy.
Hmm Noc, didn’t you once record a vid of a Jae Hoon doing some 5 or so Down+ABs, Feint into QCFx2+D?
BTW I was messing with Gato in training mode, and I dunno if the game’s maths is fucked up, but-
Standing/Crouching A–>QCFx2+A did 37 points of damage IIRC
Standing/Crouching A 2 times–>QCFx2+A did 35 points of damage IIRC, which is the EXACT damage the QCFx2+A does stand alone.
BTW these were tested on Terry.
So what I want to know is if this combo is still worth it? The first at least, cuz the super’s start-up is fast enough to be pulled out without being comboed from his Standing A.
Well… the math seems to make sense because the big damage hits are gonna be scaled down more and you’re only adding like 3dam with another standing A. The only use i see is to hit confirm it.
No, it was pretty much the same as the video I posted on youtube just showing that he can keep feint cancelling. Again though it is very very hard to pull that combo off especially how they do it. Pretty much Tea already answered as to why even bother doing it with a stand A.
Ah hit confirm only thanks a ton bro
Who’s that?
^ Storm
100% guard crush in the corner with Jae every fight using that feint cancel.
Never messes up.
Ah, thats a shame then.
lol, the most i can do with that jae dash feint combo is 2 (D, feint D feint). Nocturnal was 100% right about being very very very fast. can’t imagine anyone doing that combo over kaillera
I have a Kevin Rian twitch charge question, when I cancel qcb C with A + D I sometimes by accident get a qcb A instead of a s.A and that is without doing an extra qcb motion. How is qcb C canceled into qcb A?
This is a good question actually and I can explain why that is happening also, it has to do with motion storing. Though there are 4 different ways you can do that type of cancel. Here are the ways about to doing it:
-qcb + A, press C then hit D right after quick.
-qcb + C, press A then hit D right after quick.
-qcb + A, press A + D, then C.
-qcb + C, press A + D, then A
My guess is that the reason you get it is cause you not hitting the A + D at the same time to get a stand A to cancel it out. The way it works since your cancelling out of the qcb + A/C the special doesn’t come out all the way you just get the flame. From those methods it stores the motion so that you can do another qcb + A/C after it again. That is probably why you see the japs cancel out into that method since it gains more meter from it also. Hope this helps you out.
Can someone tell me some good mid screen combos for Gato? Some normal combos and some combos that can lead into supers. Some that are really effective when playing someone in versus.
