hey guys whats the difference between the set 1 and set 2? i really want to get into this more but i dont know which version im supposed to be playing.
also the kaillera peeps, is kawaks the dominant emulator for garou?
I just wanted to say theres some damn good comp here, and I plan on getting garou for ps2 when its released day after tomorrow.
I don’t know the specifics involved, but a couple of things that caught my attention:
B.Jenet doing a qcf+C so it hit opponent waking up, followed it with a jump (or superjump) C and it combo’d. Insert whatever combo you want after the j.C. I need to learn how to pull this one off.
Tizoc doing a counter hit clothesline (which popped the opp. up into the air), jump up, some normal to reset the opponent (A?), then air throw for a three hit combo
Hotaru, opponent cornered: Hotaru’s two hit air chain, c.C xx qcb+D (brake), juggle with qcf+C, juggle with tiger-knee’d qcb+D, juggle with dp+D. 14 hit no meter combo.
Rock counter hits an elbow (which pops the opp. up), c.B xx qcb+A for a 3 hit combo. There’s something about the juggle and reset system I don’t know about, but want to learn.
Garou on these 29" candy cabinets is just gorgeous. Every time I go into one of the arcades nearby, there is always a guy beating the game and all challenger’s on roulette.
Mame is the dominante emulator for garou and you dl both set 1 and set 2 or the game wont work but you play the game off set 2.

As you can see in the combovideos.com matches, the Kevin player constantly does a cancel to fill his super bar… he is either canceling the qcb+a or qccb+c very fast, with a standing A O_o

do the qcb+A and hold it, then hit D+C/B or do his qcb+C, hold it then press D+A/B. You can cancel his qcb+P into anything.
I see, thanks. But he couldn’t possibly cancel a qcb+C/A into another qcb+C/A? I mean, after watching the video again it seems he does it to get gauge for a second Super after the qcf,qcf+K (about 52 seconds in the video). Well, if not, I must be seeing things ^^
And your best option for Kevin’s AA is d+A+B?

Edit: N/m, yeah, you can cancel the qcb+C into another by doing qcb+C, qcb+C then D fast… can get p.gauge pretty fast that way ~_~ kevin is a beast =P
which version is the “best” version? DC or PS2?
I haven’t tried the PS2 version, but everyone tells me it’s closer to the original version than the DC is, so go with the PS2.
I just started playing this on my PS2. Sorry if this question sounds stupid
I need a lil help with cancelling into a super. For some reason I just can’t do it in this game. I use Jae Hoon and I try a c.C>super but the super never comes out. Ive tried doin the command fast and slow but I just can’t get the timing down. I do pretty well with him, but my game can be better if I can combo my supers.
Just keep practicing in training mode, mainly just do the motion as you hit them with the c.C so you can then press the button to super after it. After some time you’ll get the timing down pretty easily. Most supers are pretty simple to combo, usually depends on what super it is though. Some are harder than others to combo into, but not impossible to do them in a combo. I hope that helps you out there…take care.

Maybe it’s my shitty DC controller, or maybe I’m used to 3s, but you can’t do super motions too fast in this game. I’ve noticed you can do them REALLY slow and they still come out, though.
