The netcode is TERRIBLE. The host has no lag at all and the person that joins gets terrible TERRIBLE delay. Stick to 2DF. I’m going to call microsoft and get my money back.
A friend of mine tested the online with local guys and yeah, its fucking terrible, its even hard to select characters… such a shame.

I have had no lag issues and I’ve not hosted a single game.
What are the ping-rates you have?
I’ve been playing games with 150-300 ping and there has been no game ruining lag.
you can… you just claim that it the game won’t start up and then they will try and put you through a bunch of troubleshooting hoops just say that you called earlier and already did them all but got disconnected (saying this skips you over and hour of bullshit). Then they give you a reference number and call you in 2-3 business days and refund your money.
Really?? i couldn’t even play with >100 ping… the delay was INSANE. I play SF4 daily with no trouble… the best way to describe it is it feels like playing Quake 1 online back on 56k modems with huge delay but the host don’t have any delay and just murders you.
So guys, do I get the game or not?
if u never played garou, get the demo, like the demo and see the online as a bonus? buy it. If online is the only thing about this that interests you, hold off until they patch it or something.
So far, nothing higher than 150. It’s been no problem for me!

No, this game has massive delay between inputs. Combos you can pull easily offline will be neigh impossible online. I pretty much wasted my point lookout points.
you could buy the game, you know, for the gameplay and quality of the port. But yea crappy online and no DLC makes it shallow compared to SF4.
The quality of the port is bad too compared to Neo Geo or DC and even some emu’s.
Sound is crappy.
I guess you dont remember the ugly ass vo delay in the DC version. There were other issues too but some people seem to jaded to remember how bad it used to be. And are you really comparing a 100+mb size port to the actual Neo Geo version? Yes the sound quality will be reduced.
Theres other examples like paying a shitton of $$$ for the AES cart, or even being lucky enough to see it on an MVS machine.
XBL port is not good. I noticed flaws as soon as I launched my first match.
Either way I’m not gonna argue graphics or sound with you. The online game play is terrible. Could be because GGPO/2DF spoiled me (and most other hardcore Garou players). I have no reason to play on XBL other than to kill time with friends. =]
