What the hell? How did it get 40 pts? I guess I shouldn’t be asking that question as if trying to make sense of a manga with large sexual undertones where people fight aliens in deathmatches.
Considering the ridiculous amount of grunt aliens this mission I guess its score isn’t that far fetched, but how and why it decided to go on a killing rampage this time is another mystery in itself. A better question is if Gantz will allow someone else to use its points for it.
Personally, I would actually like to get some insight on these so called “aliens”. Some do have alien qualities to them but remember those two samurai like aliens that blondie vampire and his friend fought. A lot of creatures look mythological and from earth, not space.
Then there’s the reason why they are there fighting each other. When Nurari (100 pointer that wouldn’t die for a year) was asked why they were there fighting, he didn’t answer, he just started talking in riddle-like fashion. Reika asked another alien why they had to fight each other and they kind of dodged the question as well.
Then there’s the presence of the vampires, earth oriented creatures…and…I’m fucking confused by the manga. But that’s what’s so appealing to me about it. Like the aliens were fine because it’s a given but then several volumes in there’s vampires jumping in the mix. I’m still waiting for a variant of Pennywise the Clown to make an appearance and haunt the Gantz players outside of the game.
So I didn’t read Gantz since chapter 242 or something. When they started the Osaka mission , I kinda stopped cause it takes so godamn long to get released. Any new revelations storywise or something?
Come on now…it’s Oku we’re talking about here.People don’t read Gantz for silly things like story, characterization, etc.People read Gantz for the tits, hilarious pacing, gore, and the jaw dropping ignorance of the mangaka
This man has been doing his thing for decades.Check out his first major title if you don’t believe me…“HEN”.
Oku will be Oku.
The panda bear is beastial. lol. it said fuck the zoo bamboo, i getting up in that alien ass. tastes like the fresh bamboo shoots momma used to make.
Thank God the damn arc is over, and the most obvious revival finally happened.
I’m just wondering what his memory is going to be like. Memory before he got set free or after? Because when he did get killed, he didn’t fully recover all of his memories in GANTZ. Still, fuckin’ panda surprised me compared to everything.
Indeed. We’re not sure if Oku is going to have Gantz revive Oni mission Kei or if he plans to use the original Kei that died. Let us hope our author doesn’t intentionally screw this up. I still say this was the most retarded plot device I have ever read in a manga and by far one of the laziest ways to develop Kato. :bluu:
Got to read 279. I feel like a druggy that just got their fix now I have to wait another two weeks for more. Wonder how the Reika/Kurono relationship is going to turn out. He knows she loves him and now he’s back. Tai might be out of the picture now heh.
**
EDIT**: I say it’s the Kurono that knows about Gantz, seeing as he’s being brought back in his suit. Last time Kurono died was trying to fight off those vampires outside of his house in normal clothes. Not to mention when Tai and that other girl were revived it showed a laser shooting to the outside world to bring them back.
I hardly doubt either version of Kei is going to jump off ship forehead so soon for Covergirl isle. We all know as soon as Kato and crew explain to him the truth of what happened the first thing he’ll do is forget about revival or building a better team and head straight for Tae house to ensure her safety. If they got to him they’ll surely move onto her sooner or later for whatever retarded reason Oku decides to come up with. What I’m more interested in is the Blondie/Kei dynamic. Now that Blondie realizes they can Life 2 each other for a price he’ll probably play along until he can gain enough information to make a intelligent strike on the team.
With those two on the team we’re at least guaranteed some decent action panels.
Not to mention Nishi has 75 points now. He’s been schemin. For a middle schooler, he’s pretty tough, just the mental recollection of getting your eyes, limbs exploded would be enough to drive some people insane I’m sure.
I never knew of its existence until now.
Kato: "I’m a big stupid goodie-too-shoes with all the personality of a wet dish rag."
Kato: "…"
Kato: “…A beige wet dish rag.”
So far it’s pretty good.
Yeah GantZ abridged is a good laugh, it’s no Yu Gi Oh abridged though. Now if you’ll excuse me…to the Kaiba cave!
“Screw the rules I have money!”
Very true. YGO Abridge is on a whole new tier of funny. Far too many quotables for just one series. The best one was the Muppet Babies jab in the orphanage flash back with Kaiba and Mokuba.
i don’t think he’s talking to her
Gantz is made in Germany.
?!!!
So gantz is pretty interesting. Oka(sp) was a beast, maybe they’ll bring him back.
