Oh, and Fem can shut it up as per usual in here. I actually like Gackt -er… Heroin King. He isn’t all “badassery is what we aim for” like the Osaka Trio (Steven, Wesley, Rape Man) or completely useless for no reasonable explanation at all (Team Sadists and Anzu). He’s just a lonely druggy driving a giant motorcycle making the world a safer place for the rest of us meat bags. Searching for a 100 point alien when the actuality of its existance became news to us (not to mention actual proof of his battle prowess on the field WITHOUT the X-Cycle) however… is a bit much to swallow, eh? Without the EPW I have my doubts he’ll walk away unscathed if foolish enough to incite a battle. God knows Screech lite over there isn’t going to be worth squat in the exchange anyway.

Heroin guy isn’t dumb enough to incite a lost fight, most likely due to anxiety drugs can make you feel. Don’t get pissed at him for looking for a monster that’s actually worth a damn. The only thing I’m pissed at him for is the abnormally high potential of getting himself killed at the moment. When last has any character toting a shred of relevancy aside from the main roster in a series walked away healthy from an enemy HQ? Even the bosses aren’t worth 100 points so isn’t he compounding his problems by searching for anything that strong in the first place? Couple in a fierce determination factor, lack of back up from the trio, and the fact we know dick about him… I’d say death or cliffhanger is certain in the next five chapters. He’s highly expendable at this point.

I absolutely adore Kei Kurono.

The teenaged wonder brat is honestly one of my favorite fictional characters of all time dispite his near incomprehensible obsession with the useless meatbag known only to us as Tae Kojima.

He’s a champion in every sense of the word.

An average joe like the rest of us, thus, the perfect main character is born.

Nonetheless… there are only three reasons I can figure as to why Oku would unveil a 100 point alien this early in the second phase or “body” of the manga (assuming Osaka’s point values are being applied to our team’s ball).

Oka is the broken son of a bitch who apparently racked up 700 points and killed one of those 100 point aliens single handedly from the Osaka Team. The mech like figure in stealth mode featured in the picture I posted earlier is Mr. Hachirou.

I really have trouble believing you of all people would NOT have a problem with Kurono being revived in the same night he died because of dumb luck and bad writing. What other reason would there be if Oku wasn’t planning on ditching his creation? I mean what haven’t we seen from the kid? He is the ONLY fully developed character this manga has to offer. Why bother?

There simply isn’t enough depth in this manga to justify another year of random bullshit.

Kurono is top tier, but if our author doesn’t start fleshing out the rest our cast or clueing us into the meat of the actual plot, then I have no choice but to assume he never will… and is planning to jump ship in the near future.

He’s been stringing us along for what…? 17 - 18 volumes now? When are going to get some damn answers with a lifespan lasting longer than two or three volumes?
