Hmm… I think people are forgetting just how much of a turd in the punchbowl America was being in 2004. It was imperialistic, militaristic dick-swinging at its worst, and our international reputation was in the hands of a group of maniacs and morons who genuinely didn’t care that they were fostering this kind of sentiment abroad. Recall that this was when our invasion of Baghdad was less than a year old. I don’t know if anyone else here was ashamed to the core of the actions taken by our administration, but I sure as hell was.
