It’s going to be in Somervile and it’s on Broadway. All I know is that it’s going to be Jamie and this other guy(I forgot his name sry) but he seems really nice and he says the store is going to have these hours-11am to 9pm everyday. I asked him about fight nights and all those other events old GU had and he said that there bring it back everything. I am only concerned with the time frame the of the store being open till 9pm because I don’t think he knows that we stayed until 2 or 3 in the morning for the fight nights and I am not sure he will be ok with people staying in his store that long. Only time will tell if it will be the same.

I just thought of this and it’s not a good thought but I am going to say it anyway. I almost forgot that Good times was in Somerville and it probably had the worst crime in the town. If this owner decides to stay open for as long as old GU stayed open for fight nights the place might get robbed. When people get wind of this they might try to pull a stunt like that and I am pretty sure that the store is on a main road. I am pretty much saying I am happy that the store has re-opened but I don’t think it’s going to be the same with fight nights or even tourney’s for that matter.

good times was shut down cause the business was shot after banning 95% of the asian punks who dropped cash like it was a party everyday. on a good day, good times STILL had over 50% of its pool tables empty. they also never fix shit thats broken. CvS2 1st player was stuck in the down-forward position and couldn’t be moved the last time i went there before it closed down.

You DO REALIZE that it closed because it was bought out for an IKEA to open up there right? Not because of crime…I’m not saying there wasn’t crime there, but don’t make things up…it wasn’t anything like your describing.

cosign. as someone who spent a LOT of time there as a teenager, i can vouch for what gabe is saying.

also, i live in somerville. it’s not as bad as you’re describing. and the section of broadway that GU will be on is WAY in the opposite direction of the area GT used to be.

A GU will be opening very soon! but there is no word on whether its in sommerville or its old spot in framingham. That is only known by jamie and he is making an announcement soon, stay tuned ( and yes either one there will be fight nights, tournies, etc) bet it

I heard about a stabbing once at Good Times, but I don’t think it was constantly being busted into by the Riddler and company. All the asian punks in the world aren’t going to front up more money than Ikea, that’s the real moral of the story.

As for crime, honestly it depends on where it is. I can’t think of much of Broadway I feel unsafe on. Where exactly are we talking? I’m up by Winter Hill.
