Thank god for the 5 round format. In one of my matches, I lost the first 2 rounds and my Ultra wouldn’t come out. So I decided to be patient, hang back, poke, and then I noticed that he wasn’t throwing or trying to break throws so Ooichou FTW.

Comments:

  • The players were EXTREMELY solid despite it being a scrub tournament/on pad. Some ST OG’s came out, they put up fights, all of them except 1 or 2.

  • 5-10 year old boy BEASTING, hits umthrfkr with a Sagat crossup short into ultra.

  • 90% of the tournament was Sagat, he’s pretty free though.

  • Tournament Director was cool enough to let me and umthrfkr be on opposite sides of the bracket.

  • Met a lot of cool new people that were interested and dedicated in leveling up, exchanged contacts with around 5-8 different players and will chill with them and level them up sometime.

  • All around fun, good stuff everyone + GameStop for hosting. More to come!

Nobody knew how to block cross ups by the way, so you can imagine how loud they were when they thought it was unblockable. = P
