Regarding cheaters buying certs… if i see marn or any fakers in nj for round 3 i hope u paid off the gamestop director of the store associated with the cert… there were people bitching at round2 that some people didn’t have their paperwork and all we had 2 do was call the gamestop they supposedly won at and find out who the 2 qualifiers really were…ggpo… waiver forms were there for a reason kids…

OK so Jimmy McManager indeed, haha. When asked about some broken buttons on the pad, he quickly laid down the law and threatened to DQ anyone that complained, citing his store as a “no bitching zone.” Clearly this is the first time in his life he’s ever been given an ounce of power.
The bracket, 16 man bracket, only 11 people showed up. Filled in from top to bottom, we have a bottom half that is only 2 matches long, how can we fix this? Uh…uh…hey you there, do you want to play in the tournament? Sure just toss in friends of the qualifiers, good idea, but now there’s only 14 players, uhhhhh uhhhhh…I know random drawing from the losers bracket, you two play again! 16 man bracket complete, Jimmy McManager ftw.
Anyway we were also told that the pads were not part of the prize package, he took our phone numbers down but said nothing about us receiving the pads at a later date. When we mentioned the prize listings on the website, he got his attitude up again and told us exactly what came in his prize package, and that’s what we were getting.
Also for this Round 3 stick/no stick controversy, is there any confirmation anywhere? If we are allowed to use sticks, I need something official to print out and bring with me for the Jimmy McManager I’m inevitably going to run into at this next store. It’s been pure luck up to this point that I’ve advanced without using a stick, honestly. Don’t be fooled, I’m total garbage at this game.
I’ve been reading the posts and noticed not too many people from the SE region. Only 1 other person from FL posted and stated they weren’t going to round 3. Is anyone here going to round 3 in Orlando?
On a side note, I got this bigass 32 or something man bracket with only the 5 names of the people in my round 2 store lol.
Yo what is Gamestop doing about people trying to travel to other regional finals locations? Some douchenugget IMd me the other night trying to get us to pick him up at the airport and take him to our regional so he could dodge stiffer competition in NYC. I won’t name names, but after asking around it turns out he’s not very well liked in the community. The other person that qualified for regionals here knows him as well, and nobody involved wants him around, so if you’re reading this and you know who you are, you’re not welcome here in Buffalo.
I can’t even imagine that anyone would waste their time doing something like that, you’d spend less money just buying your own stick than you would flying out to another regional. And if you’re dodging your local competition, you must not want to compete, so why even fly out to San Fran in the first place?
