Oh no. You mentioned the horror, the terror, the…unpleasantness that is akuji the heartless.
The heartless ones were the people responsibile for making that game. :shake: such…Heartlessness should not be inflicted upon people. EVER.

here’s an oldie and hard to remember one. Wrath of the black manta.
It was a Ninja Gaiden wanna-be that didn’t measure up on any levels. I don’t know of anyone else who ever even beat that game. Took me centuries to figure out how.

Simtower
and
Im people played this quite a bit, but not near as much as I did:
Twisted Metal 2.
ya sounds the same, you better run to that wall, other wise you’ll get the crap pegged out of you. Ive never heard of NYC wall ball or been to NYC, but in Az we still play it the same.
I bet no one here played the game made by wizards of the cost called Three Dragon Ante.
My cousin had that game. Could never get past the first boss, Tiny, who coincidentally was as tall as the entire screen. Not that great, but it had a ton of dialogue for an action game.
One game no one seems to have played is Albert Odyssey: Legend of Eldean on the Saturn. It was actually the 3rd AO game, but the first one released in English by none other than Working Designs, the same people who did the PS1 Lunar games. It was an incredibly straight-forward and generic RPG grindfest, but the 2D graphics were great, the soundtrack was gorgeous, and the dialogue was offbeat and crazy.
Gaiares. Simply one of the hardest side scrolling shooters I’ve ever played.
Uniracers for the SNES.
Klonoa, none of my friends has played this awesome ass game. And I’ve played Akuji the heartless. Terrible Terrible game.
Klonoa is lovely. They recently remade Klonoa 1 for the Wii btw.
what about an arcade game. wonder if any of you have played it.
cabal.
that shit was amazing, a war game with a track ball.
im outi
Roberth
One of the only games I bought on release, along with the Pokemon games and NiGHTS JoD.
Way of the Samurai series. I don’t know anybody else that plays it. Working on the third (sorta the forth if you count Samurai Western) and I just found out they did a ninja version that didn’t come out in America.
Dual Heroes
There was this one move where the female character would start dancing and the opponent would follow in unison and then at the end of it she would pose and the opponent would fall to the ground. That shit was too ballin.
ahhhh! real monsters on snes
Just a few I can think off right now are:
Magna Carta II for the 360 awesome RPG.
Trapt for the PS2, you use traps to defend and kill your enemies, the game was too slow and short though.
Odin Sphere Probably known by some, beautiful 2D RPG.
I also remember playing this game on the Sega where you had to protect this little girl from all sorts of evil things by just clicking them away I believe. Anyone have any idea what the name of that game could be?
Yuke Yuke Trouble Makers/Mischief Makers was called Tummy Trouble?!? Must’ve been in the UK…
gregory horror show on the ps2
a brilliant little game where you play as a boy (or girl) trapped in a creepy hotel with a bunch of strange misfits as guests all out to devour your soul trapping you for eternity (theres a strange polkadot pink lizard nurse who carries a huge syringe with her for example)
basically you have to stalk the guests through the hotel and find out what there daily routine is by peeking through keyholes and listening to their random mumblings while they sleep etc to figure out what there weak point is (a food, a certain time of day, etc) and then exploit it to steal their own souls which they carry in little bottles to give to the grim reaper each time you sleep.
once you have their soul however they will pursue you relentlessly when they see you and pretty much kill you to get it back (game over obviously)
the game has a ‘cubist’ style, in that everyone looks like they are made of boxes with square heads and bodies etc and little flat feet which gives it a unique look.
i picked it up for about 7 quid years and years back and since then have never seen it anywhere since. i would never sell it i dont think.
Fucking loved that game. A friend and I are always saying how amazing and underrated it is, and no-one has a clue what we’re talking about.
isnt it just? never ever got round to finishing it i must have restarted it about 5 times. i have a habit of restarting games when i havent played them for a long time.
other ones ive had to do that with is Okami, and more recently the awesome but nails as fuck God Hand.
The only one that could possibly be considered an unknown game is Trapt. Even that is a sequel of a long running Tecmo franchise.
Odin Sphere sold well enough to have a second printing. Magna Carta II might have went under casual player radars, but anyone who plays RPGs knows what it is (since it is one of the FEW current generation RPGs).
