Indeed. One could argue that, but as this developer points out, anyone that spends some time looking into this will realize the industry isn’t like this at all.

Most of the anti-GG’s side of argument relies on the reader to not spend time looking into things. It’s quite powerful in this age of 140 character tweets and clickbait article titles.

No…Just saying women aren’t as mistreated in the industry as you and others think they are.
Even have a lot of female developers who work for big companies coming out and saying they don’t get all this mistreatment people think they do.

Just because a few people get ragged on who happen to be women doesnt mean all women in the industry are ragged on 24/7 and no one wants them in it.

They get called idiots, dumbasses, lazy, every word in the book to describe their incompetence and every now and then get a death threat.

Ever been on Operation Sports? The Madden devs got it so bad back in 2007-2009 that they had a death threat and one of the devs family was threatened. Not the dev. But his family. ON A PUBLIC FORUM. WHERE YOUR IP CAN GET TRACED. (I think the guy ended up getting arrested, but it’s been a while so I’m unsure).
