I am open to doing SSF4 first… I dont care. You all tell me,butlets decide QUICK so we can change the schedule with plenty of notice.
I hope I can afford to come to more of these in the future that ARENT during my spring break
Oh this will be a fun drive up. Might be the first time I leave Oregon at 7AM lol! Got a photoshoot on the 15th. LETS DO THIS!
Is there few people around the Burien area, i need some level up buddies never did tournament play but would love to start. i am hoping to go to this one willing to carpool some people just want to get into the NW scene.
I would suggest showing up to a tournament anyway just to watch and get some casuals at the very least, and to get better acquainted with the community. also don’t let losing get in your way of learning that’s something you’ve got to expect also there is a NorthWestStreetFighter group on facebook that most of the NW are apart of, it’s mainly a flame war for lol’s but it’s still a good place to meet some of the guys.
I am gonna show up anyways but still would be great to have someone to play with around the area internet play sucks sometimes.
sometimes? lol, well i’m not from the Seattle area so i don’t really know too many of their get togethers, but SRK is a good place to start good luck making your way out here man i would join the facebook group too because it’s good comedy when you aren’t playing games.
and out of curiosity what games are you trying to play?
I play MVC3 and SSF4 and ill go check out the facebook group right now thanks for all the help mackinzie
No Prob Chief, good luck gaming man!
Seattle Retro Gaming tournaments Seattle Retro Gaming Expo 2011
GameClucks will have a booth at the event also.
That will be Battle For Seattle. I’ll be working with Julian in terms of the Fighting Game tournaments and broadcasting. Ya’ll will be in for a BIG treat.
psst…I won.
Hmm then someone didnt fill board right…
I will update for the TP Site
Investigating getting a arcade machine also in GC
The AE cabs are pretty pricey, but I’m not against a modded cab with old school games or an AE cab if possible.
It would be pretty sweet to have an arcade cab @ GC.
I’m split on this because people get sidetracked hella easy
True, but to quote KKF from last year…
At least people will be more likely to be sidetracked within the immediate area instead of having to wait for them to come back from Lil’ Caesars or Ezell’s or whatever. :smokin:
Hey guys, some, if not all of you have seen my postings on facebook, but with the new push of the streaming, as well as majority of videos being posted to Youtube, as well as FADC, I am wanting to change how the stream is running, especially in regards to commentary and what goes on where. This has been cross-posted in like 4 threads just so ya’ll know.
So first off, I know we all are at a lot of the same events here in the NW. So with that being said, I’m looking for people that are interested in commentating. I have thought about this a lot, and also consulted with a few people, and I believe that getting “teams” to commentate, so basically cover four matches then you can take the time to smoke, play your games or whatever, AND THEN when top 8 rolls around, run one of three scenarios.
A) Two man team commentating all of top 8, I would prefer it not change.
B) Two man team commentates till the top 4, then a three man team would take over.
C) Two man team commentates till top 4, a different group does till grand finals, then grand finals is a three man team.
The ONLY reason I even bring up the idea of a 3 man team is because there is A LOT of knowledge out there in the community, and it would be great so that everyone could talk and give their knowledge.
Now with all that being said, IF you are interested in commentary, I please ask that you try to keep it fairly PG-13 and directed to what is happening on screen. I can understand that in hype moments you may drop a word or two you didn’t mean to, but that is what happens, I would prefer with future streams and commentary, that the language is kept in control. On top of that, please don’t bring personal feelings into your commentary of “F this player” or anything like that and it is prefered if you don’t go “Player X should do this right now” loud enough so its basically like you are coaching the player.
I also want you to know that unless I’ve told you that you can be on commentary, or that its essentially your time to commentate, please don’t just walk over and pick up the headset, IF you want to do commentary then ASK ME first. If I am not there, then wait until I get back.
The Events that I know I’m covering, that will need commentary are
Gameclucks - 4/16
MHC Presents the 3rd Salty Runback - 4/23
Epic Khaos - 4/30
Epic Khaos - 5/21
Battle For Seattle - 5/28-29
And I’m sure there will be another GameClucks and TSR between those as well.
If you are interested in doing commentary for any of those events, let me know before hand via PM, Facebook message, text…whatever. Just the more I know in advance the easier things will be come event time. Things will be flawless and I will be able to know who is commentating when it comes time to upload.
