GameClucks SSF4/MvC3 Monthly Thread - JULY 9TH 2011 CLOSED PER REQUEST

You still need to fix the losses from October SSF4. Apparently I lost 3 times in one tournamnet. OUCH!..WTF is that.

youre just that…good?

Points system and record keeping thus far has been mild sauce. Just pointing it out, cuz wtf is a league if the stats are wrong?

Who knows. All I know is that after the way the weekend rolled out Dugg, you better win! tnMuggish yo!

I can not go back and fix the Oct bracket w/o massive time investment. The points though are correct. We edited the scoring.

We made some major changes to the bracket system last week to match tio on how it moves people.

I am also working on a whole new project that in a couple of months could have a complete Online Bracket system for LAN and Online Tournaments., so once that is done, we will move to that system.

FEB 19th is Feb’s date and moving SEASON FINAL to March which is also the 19th I believe.

So hang on, there’s two more events before the finals? Jan 29th, then Feb 19th, then finals in March?

Marvel on FEb. 19th?

What in the hell I’m 15th in the league?

Wait…Chris please update that post. I think Feb’s date is changing to the 12th so that Portland will (hopefully) be able to attend on the 12th and Seattle will be able to come to slugfest on the 19th, as well as Epic Khaos on the 26th.

Oh, you were right about times Dugg :x

Pooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooop

I’m looking for an open spot on someones team.
Or possibly one person to fill out a team with me and LeonV if he makes it up.

BISONOPOLIS

caps

Kinda want to go to this to commentate. Who is coming from the south end?

Sorry all been insanely busy with the new company and cleaning up some GC/TP stuff.

SEASON 1 Final is FEB 12th

I have been all manner of f’ed up on dates the last 3 weeks…

**LEAGUE POINTS: **
I may just erase the brackets not he site and redo them from the original tio files to make sure they are 100% correct.
As of right now, I am 99% cure the Points are right even if the bracket is not, as I can edit the Points easier then I can edit the bracket (an issue Rick is working on with me to get fixed).
While I realize the League idea sort of seems fail right now, its a work in progress and Smash and SSF4 are the test events for it. I never claimed it was 100% perfect, we are building it as we do the events, so debugging is still being done.
I am hoping we are close to being 100% complete on it though.

Seeing that it is a work in progress it’s good that you are aware and making tweeks to the system. I think when it’s all polished up it’ll be a great tool for our scene =D

Updated for Feb 12th event.

READ THE SEASON FINAL/TP LEAGUE part of the first post so you understand how it all works!!

Entry Fee is higher!!!

IF YOU HAVE NO LEAGUE POINTS (havent been to a Reg Season Event) you pay DOUBLE THE ENTRY FEE

Wow.

You know what, I say we have the next one on the 19th with MvC3 there as well. I understand that Portland has their own thing going on, but I honestly feel that it’s important to throw a tournament the first week that game comes out. Besides I’m pretty sure most people from Seattle won’t make it down to PDX because of Marvel, so why not throw a tournament up here too!

Also we should really start posting results over in the tournaments thread. At the most top 8 results and a little feedback about how the tournament went.

Thoughts?

im kinda 50/50 about throwing a marvel 3 tourney within the 1st week.

1st off, if anything is groundbreaking that anyone found, it will be spread all over the internet (doesnt really matter because someones bound to find it out eventually, just wont get the credit)

secondly, a lot of people still want to hit the lab and test stuff out in casuals before puttin money down. but then again, the “pressure” of a tournament might cause accidental discoveries.

like i said im 50/50. the main thing is, do people want day 1 in the lab solo? or casuals where you got to wait in a rotation to test shit?
