So I want to do the HD Remix tournament but I dont know if I should make it $2 or $5. What should I do???
I’d make it 2. There are people who like the game enough to play it but not enough to pay high tournament fees over it.
Besides, if it was 5 dollars the pot would probably be just 15 dollars, 20 dollars max.

Effullbao has a point. There are people that would play it but wont pay 5 dollars to play it since they not that good at it.
Well 3 people entering for $5 is $15, and 8 people for $2 is $16. I dont see the difference between $2 and $5 really. If someones willin to pay $2 to enter, why not $5? Its the most unforgiving game in the entire world so I mean, if someone is reluctant to enter at all, $2 or $5 might not make much of a difference but whatevs.
Tell ya what, Ill teach anyone whos willing for a price before the date of the tournament. Matchups, footsies, counter picks, ToD’s, whatever you want you got it and then we’ll make it $5.
Don’t get me wrong. I’d gladly pay 5 dollars for HDR and I think it shouldn’t be treated like a side game at events like it is now. But getting more people involved is more important in the long run especially at a venue that’s pretty much only SSF4 players. Otherwise, it’ll just be the same 3 or 4 people. We might as well just be having round robin money matches.
I think I might have jumped the gun a little. It was a little premature of me to assume that no one would play but if you look at the last Wallcade that had 61 people and only 9 played HDR, something’s up.
I’m all for the 5 dollar thing, especially if people take up your offer Craig. Worst case scenario, not many people enter HDR the first time, we lower the entry fee to 2 dollars and see if more people would play then. If it’s still the same people, then it’ll go back up to 5. Then we’ll know that it’s not a matter of people being cheap and wanting to save 3 dollars anymore.
Yea I agree wit both of you & Craig you teaching people HD Remix is a great Idea. I like ur Idea Effulbao we will do $5 this weekend if people dont enter then we will do $2 if the same people or less people enter then we will do $5.

haha, well, I’m not very good at it. I mostly just like the speed of the game. SF4 is pretty slow in comparison.
