I wish I didn’t work every Saturday…because I’d be down for that.
Did you just make that up?
I almost hope I never meet you in real life, so I can always imagine you looking like that fat ass in your av. That shit cracks me up.
id be in Rob, playing online gets boring
im down…but not this saturday…got that MW2 tournament to go to
You’re going to?
I’ll see you there.
HAHAHAHA!!!
This dude kills me :clapdos:
Everything you just said i have gone over in my head before multiple times LOL. Asian online matches are awsome.I only watch asain replays. Watch a (A) rank blanka in north american replays. Then watch a (A) rank blanka from asia. Its actully fun to watch the asain blanka, no joke. asain blanka seems super offensive.
One thing i like about ssf4 is that combo’s are hard. I dont like poeple to be able to do massive combo’s easy.
Im down, but i havent shown up to shit because i never have a ride.

I think Ultras off trade/easy links = massive combos easy right? I think SFIV is basically designed backwards … for being so simple on the surface, basing it around links like they did made no sense.
Trust me that if you guys want to get really good at SSFIV you need to go out of state to train up (and I mean there are old people good at the old games but even then we can only get you started since no one plays serious anymore). There’s no sense in limiting yourself to beating a neighboring state where at a major you have like half the Union there. And how are you going to train to beat Wolfkrone when no one plays Viper in OH? lol
It’s not dogging anyone’s motivation here but that’s how people have been leveling up at fighters since time began. Frank (RoyBisel) used to take the Grayhound from Cleveland to Cali to play SF2, lol. I’m not suggesting base your life around SF but you need to play against people who are already on the level you want to be, then absorb that shit and take it home. Playing more among yourselves here will be law of diminishing returns.
I figured out pretty quick that in 3s if I was going to be a threat to place in the money at majors I had to move, lol. As it was I just resigned to have fun with the games I liked, even though we still went to majors.
Just keep going to majors and get in casuals too there and you’ll progress. You can practice links and read on SRK all you want but the experience you get at a major will be expotentially more helpful than weeks/months of local play time. Unless SFIV is such a poorly designed game that it’s hard to pick up that stuff hidden behind all the easy-mode; I don’t play it so I can’t really say.
Or you can train yourself by playing other faster fighters, or wack-a-mole or something, anything to help your quick-thinking and decision-making, which SFIV challenges less than other games.
Everything He Put makes sense completly…but the downside is no one is REALLY motivated to travel for practice…i wish i could drive…id go out of my way to get better
don’t lump everyone together like that. i travel all the time to play. then again, i have no choice in the matter because no one that’s still active around here is at my level. shrug
but seriously, you guys playing each other more isn’t gonna make a difference at all. you gotta lose, and lose hard, to learn anything about your game.
who are you? nobody at your level? andre and I are arguably top 2 around cleveland in ssf4? you need to qualify that comment
hes talking about a game other than ssf4…

im pretty sure he wasnt talkin about ssf4 lol
btw, cleveland’s strongest game was and still is tekken
it’s not that we’re not motivated. it’s just that life gets in the way and unfortunately we all prioritize it a little differently than the best players. responsibilities suck. if you don’t have other obligations though totally go for it!
and yeah kamui is totally not talking about ssf4.
hes talking about gulity gear matt
lol. Matt, i do not give the slightest shit about ssf4. i play gg.
edit: oh lol. good shit Manny/Andre
