Anybody want to come w/ me and Than and Tran to this tourney on sunday at 5pm? The place is at orange park and is only 1hr and 30mins away from UF. Here’s the link. I’m 100% going and I’m taking Than and Tran w/ me.
It’s actually on Saturday and starts tentatively at 1. Tran and I can meet you anytime that day if you want us to stop by a little early for some pre traveling warm up.

i have a 27 inch tube TV, a PS3, marvel3 (no DLC), and i just got the AE upgrade also. rob if you need any of this stuff, just let me know when and where to bring it.
if this is on XBOX, can i borrow someones stick for the tournament, or a converter if available. are there any free play stations for other games? after i go 0-2 in AE i’d like to get some games in with people or maybe even bring my copy of tekken to see if i can draw anybody into the scene (always pushing my tekken agenda, wink wink).

Yeah like… I don’t really understand what Necro’s strong points are. When you landed like… hit confirm into three hit combo into super into juggle it did like… as much damage as Urien’s cr. fierce into body slam. I know it is more about the stun but man he does like no damage at all. I have seen some videos of really good Necro players but I still can’t comprehend exactly what he is supposed to be doing.
I was thinking back to playing against you and I feel like I need to be more stingy with when I throw out Aegis, I was doing a lot of random fireball x aegis just to gain free ground but I don’t feel it was particularly threatening or a good use of meter.

^haha gotta love the “put on shades” part. And yeah good times. I kinda wish now i was into the SF4 scene earlier. It seems fairly fun once you get the hang of it. Wish I had started sooner but I’ll be ready once SFxT comes out

Yeah Phil if you just learn some BnB’s and chill out a bit you can probably be quite good at SF4 since your FG fundamentals are good. It looked almost like you were trying to triangle jump with Akuma and Cammy. You may want to use Viper or something if you want to play fly around the screen rushdown style. Otherwise you’ll want to stay grounded a lot more.

Lol yeah i felt like i was just mashing or doing a few moves and i didn’t know any BnB’s. And yeah i heard jumping alot is bad in SF4.
Outside of good stun and decent pokes, that’s about it. I’ve seen a lot of japanese necro videos (sugiyama and pnioab7 in particular) and he really shines when he gets you in the corner. But getting them in the corner is a pretty hard task for necro. You can do that with down back + fierce or the command grab so yeah. From there it’s pretty much about the mixup with overheads and such. But yeah he gets rapped by rushdown. I just like the character because he has such and odd design but I like it.
I thought the Aegis pressure was doing the job for the most part. From what I remember when you did fireball x aegis, 90% of the time I was in the corner or close to it. Since it’s 3s and you gain meter hella fast anyway, I wouldn’t see why you wouldn’t want to throw out aegis to gain momentum. Worse case scenario you don’t actually hit me with an unblockable but I get pushed backward and you can mix me up from there. Plus Urien has 2 stocks for that super so yeah.
