Why is a midwest tournament in a southern state? I’m originally from the midwest, and Tennesee is like 8 hours from my home town and 14 hours from Atlanta. Why do people always confuse Tennesee as a midwest state is beyond me, since geographically it’s in the south. And it’s a historically soutern place as well. Arkansas and Kentucky are southern states I where I can see the confusion, but definitely can’t see any confusion with Tennesee. But then again Virginia is a southern state, but some people try to make it a north eastern one, when it’s historically a southern state.
Jill is the coolest character. Tried to play with her a bit last night. I’m going to say this though, online Marvel is garbage. I haven’t been playing online, but when you can’t punish stuff something is an issue. THings are already super safe in Marvel or hard to punish as it is, and online just makes for the most brainless experience. I will never play this game online again, except to play against BallinJin. Time to start hitting up spots like EP and Dunwoody and getting solid the old fashion way.
Jill seems like a really odd character, but well worth learning. Thomas was so wrong when he said she looks mediocore. I think she is the most interesting character in the game thus far. I wonder if I can play some type of keep away style with her, and rush down if needed. She seems to have the tool to do both.Im on the fence about Jill now, on one hand her lvl 3 does not seem worth it all, provided your opponent is always two steps ahead to counter it, she can die with one combo and does not have the high risk high reward factor as phoenix does…using her assist “Arrow Kick” which is the best one btw is to dangerous due to one punish and she is dead.
I have no idea how to control this bitch during lvl 3 x factor and I thought she would get a damage boost on her original lvl.3…her gun hyper does poor damage even when used as an OTG so your best bet would be to catch an assist with it, her other hyper actually went through some people in matches so im not sure about the properties
in conclusion she is nothing like wesker, zero follow-ups in her beast mode aka air combos so what real damage can you do?
her arrow kick assist is the best, if your going to play Jill seriously try to form a solid around her Doom/Sent, Spencer/Dorm, Dante/Sent,etc. one mistake and its your ass…
Has anyone else downloaded the MK demo? If so, have you had any trouble remapping buttons? For me, it saves the mapping, but then returns to default when you actually get in single player…

So far, the game feels like… Tekken-lite? I’m not sure how to put it, but it doesn’t feel like the return to roots they were advertising, at least from what it is in the demo.

I was just wondering, who is the best in the state in each game? This use to be a huge deal a few years back, but you don’t hear much stated about it now. I think the best in the state goes as follows:
SSFIV - Rashid/RamenAdict
Tekken 6- Anakin
BlazeBlue - IvySaur
Marvel vs Capcom 3 - Eddie/Clint
Marvel vs Capcom 2 - Joe/Max
Arcana Heart 3 - ???
Melty Blood - ???
Capcom vs SNK 2 - Joe/Max - this is hard to say, since Joe and Max rarely attend revivals. But the scene still seem to exist in some form. Blaze could be the best active CVS2 player, since most people who use to play it are MIA at Revival
Any other games I’m missing. It’s hard to say who is the best in the state for SSFIV since the results are pretty random. Didn’t Iceman/Pokchop say that there would be an ranking system implemented?
