This weekend was so fun. My best highlight I guess was nearly taking out German Luke (the Vega who put Daigo in losers at Season’s Beatings), the match came down to the last hit.
Overall I enjoyed this Final Round way more than last years, which I thought I flopped in. I got to MM the people I wanted to MM except Ortiz. My match with Air wasn't too bad, clearly a superior Ryu. And I had fun with my match with JTO.
I am ultra salty about my match against Wong. Not that I expected to win, but I expected Rufus. Anyway I never dealth with a Chun-Li at that level, nor one who has footsies that good. Still I’m mad about that one and I’m now commited to beating Wong’s Chun-Li. And uphill battle I know
CONGRATULATIONS to Ivysaur for winning Blazblue 1st place again, what a beast. Good shit to the whole Team GA for beating up Team Empire Arcadia in the 5v5 too! The level of play in the south is for sure higher than most other places in the country now, and we have a real chance to win all the games in our own major next year with our best players placing higher and higher in the results each year.
Juan, Ernesto: I’m sorry you guys couldn’t be there so that we can play some ST and HDR. You guys missed out playing against Tokido too =( Maybe we can play in the future.
im kind of upset that I had to throw my matches in super to finish the pool on time, but next year I will get some damn sleep before I have to do that again, two hours does not cut it…I did pretty good in marvel against EMP’s Remix, I have to stop mashing drill claw because that shit cost me the match so I will work on that…got to play CJ and his friend in casuals and we pretty much went back and forth, I used my usual squad (sig) and wrecked shop, Adon for life I need to get some matches in with Ramen to btw

i honestly feel pretty bad for the guy. it’s a shame to be that talented at a game and just either blow it or just lose in some way. his Zero is godlike. i can’t get over how good it is, honestly.
Marn is a jerk, he’s no one to feel sorry for. I feel more sorry for Sanford when he loses, and that’s saying a lot.
Cardell if you’re reading this, could you upload my MM with Wong? I saw you recording, did you record all 5 matches? I know I got raped pretty bad, but I would love to sit back and analyze this to see exactly what I did wrong or where I can make some adjustments. I noticed reviewing my match videos help a ton. When I reviewed my match with DB Joesph from Tension Pulse I noticed I did way better when I had to play him again this past revival. I plan on playing Wong again at Evo, and I’m asking for his Chun-Li specifically.

Most importantly, @Larry: Thank you so much for running the best tournament in the nation. From the player’s perspective you can tell this tourney was run from the heart. @GA’s fighting game scene: I fucking love this states community! No matter who was playing or whatever rivalry’s we’ve previously made amongst each other GA supported the hell out of GA at Final Round. It felt like being family and I’m proud to be a part of this scene!
