So i got to finally get to play SF4 at my house, and it an interesting game, i still prefer to play 3S, that doesn’t meant that i don’t totally dislike the game, but just my cup of tea over SF4
I’m thinking of getting back into 3rd Strike, honestly. It’s a really fun game. For some reason, playing Sakura in Street Fighter IV reminded me of how much I love Elena. You ever play at Waba?
Sakura has always been one of my favorite characters from the Alpha series, so i will more than likely be maining her, or having her as a back-up character, she is so fun on this game, although she doesn’t have her c.sk, c.sk., sk, to link with most of her moves in this, she is still decent IMO, I’ve never played nor been to Waba, but i’ve heard excellent things about it from personal friends and on these forums, i want to go this weekend, but i don’t think that i will be able to make it due to a lack of transportation, and besides that, i have the GameStop Round 2 tourney this weekend, so unless by some divine miracle i can scoop the tourney with me having really no experience with the game, and then driving all the way to Duluth to make it to Waba in time to enter, all hope is lost
I love 3rd Strike. It’s just that I don’t know of any competition. I promised I would stick to games with netplay, just to have competition, but if there’s 3rd Strike competition in this city, then I’ll fuckin’ go for that shit.
I’m the same way, i love 3S, but i don’t really have anyone that i can go like to the next city and play with, it sucks to not have a car, i know when i went to Chinatown Fair Arcade in NY, those dude were playing 3S like it just came out or something although SF4 was there and it didn’t get crowded on that machine until in the evening, the time when people get off of work, but there were still mad folks lined up for 3S, and it was a good thing too :wgrin:

All I need is some players to play against, and we’re all good. Competitive UMK3 is soo fun and addicting, also, watching it is quite fun too.

The XBLA version is 100% arcade accurate. Everything I do on the XBLA version, can be done on the arcade version.

I agree, UMK3 is a very good game. It just plays so much differently than other top fighting games, most people are turned off by it :shake:
Very true. UMK3 is actually the only MK game I’d consider good, as far as competitive play goes. I do enjoy them all though, but UMK3 is the best and most playable, and is tournament worthy.
