My main game is DOA4, but I’ve played a little Street Fighter 4 on the side as of late, and enjoy it.

Gamestop dont know how to throw any tournaments. We were halfway done and then people start complaining about the 2nd player pad being “too stiff”. I was like BITCH, WHAT DO YOU MEAN ITS TOO STIFF, ITS A FUCKING PAD. And so the person running the “brackets” decided to restart the tournament from the beginning. I got my shit and left. We were already one hour in and they decide to restart. FUCK THAT.
so did anyone have any surprises?
I was breezing through and then I noticed someone on my side of the bracket combod c.lp, c.lp buffalo headbutt into ultra…
I played him in the finals of my bracket and ended up losing, 3-2 with the last round being last poke wins [after i was down like 1 hit left vs half health, i battled back to 1 hit left vs 1 hit left] and I barely missed the second hit of a tiger knee and he punished the whiff 
so i got third
After that really close match, he steamrolls the final match 3-0.
It was a fun surprise I guess… Hopefully that guy enters the community. Quiet asian guy with a cool english bowler hat, very solid play balrog. His name was John.

I ran into another SRK member there(he rarely posts though). Luckily there were 2 different brackets for some reason, we never had to fight(only did one casual). We both ended up winning 1st place in our brackets.

Tei and I were in finals, was hella tough playing on 360 pad, it was like hype to get a shoryuken off lol.
If i win the next one, i think i’d still rather go to Final Round over the Gamestop tourney, unless they really let people use sticks at Round 3

On the website it said un-lockable characters were not playable in the tournament anyways :bluu:

We had like 10 guide/start button interrupts, did any other stores not DQ for that? For us, it was always when some went retard-happy during a super, so it wasn’t a huge deal.
Oh, and ours was best of 5 single elim the whole way through, but a friend of mine said that he had double elim during the semi finals. I would have preferred just best 2 of 3 double elim, but I guess things worked out for now, gotta keep training though!

Won mine at Chamblee Tucker.
There were 35 (!) people at mine. That number seemed kind of high from what I’ve heard so far. It took us two and a half hours to finish. I was getting really impatient towards the end. Random ass shit happening got old really quick :lol:.
On a side note, I felt horrible after I beat his kid in tournament. He almost started to cry (I didn’t say anything, so it’s not like that, :lol:), and all at once, I felt like a horrible person for some reason. :lol:
Yeah it was no unlockable characters and single elim the whole way through for the one I was at too. I finally got to touch the game and I played like ass, but Sgt. Slaughter got me through to the next round. How did the rest of you all do?

its seems like scrubs can win against seasoned veterans:lol: i lost at my local tourney. i kno i kno, i suck:crybaby:. ive never played sf4 on the pad before so the experience was awkward. one thing i did learn tho is im never ever gonna play a fighting game on pad again EVER.

I won at my Gamestop. 90% of the players used Ken. I faced Ken, Ken, E.Honda, Sagat, Ken, Ken, and for the last match that was for fun he used… Ken. I won all the matches with my Dictator, and got a perfect on the match that got me to the 2nd round!
It was fun, I was nervous as shit though. Doesn’t matter who I’m facing, I’ll be nervous playing. But, the nervousness helps my game ALOT!
