G:MotW Combo Haven

I’m having a huge problem. I’ve seen it done, but I can’t seem to do it.
Kim Dong Hwan. After a Supa Dong Hwan Kyaku (Full to mid screen), I have a problem landing a SP.Kuu Sa Jin (I can do it in corner). I see them run up and do it but I seem to never have anough time.

Even after a SK.Reimei Zan to Supa Dong Hwan Kayku, I still have trobule with this…

I like how everyone’s posting combos for the GMOW community, but could someone actualy compile the damn stuff so it doesn’t take me forever to read through all the combos and see which ones need posting. It would also help scrubs looking at this stuff.

D.Hwang combos:

let [QCFx2+A land sj.QCFx2 A {optional: if close enough to corner DP+C}] be known as air super combo x2

you can now land it off

(Corner) j.Axxj.C land j.A xx air super combo x2

QCF+D sj air super combo x2

CH DP+A (break) DP+A break sj air super combo x2

timing is tight but you got to learn the recovery of the moves so you can sj. at the earliest possible moment, then you gotta input the super so it hits the middle of the body. If it lands too high the opponent might drop low and you won’t have enough time for the second one and if it his the body too low you may not get all the hits and the opponent won’t be high enough for the second super.

You’ve seen someone land a DP+C after a QCF+A(Air) Mid-screen? That’s impossible! Kim Dong Hwan is my main character and I’ve never been able to pull off mid-screen only in the corner. Although it may be possible if you connected QCF+A(Air) while both you and your opponent are in the air, but I guess both of you have to be pretty high like after Just Defending Marco’s DP+A/C or 2xQCF+B/D, etc.

Actually, He JDed Gatos “Qca.K-B” Kick thing then did Hwan did his “Qca.D”, Gato got luanched in the air and he jumped and did a “Qctx2.A” super. Then when Hwan landed, he ran(walked) toward while Gato was falling and did a “DP.C” and it hit…
He did it twice in a match

yeah it really depends on how high the guy is after landing the super. if you get all the hits in and he’s already a fair bit off the ground, if you know the recovery you can land and hit the ground running and then buffer the DP+C. I haven’t tried it but it sounds good in theory (sorta how like you walk towards your opponent after a QCF+D before throwing out DP+C)

You mean break after connecting the super? If that is the case then no you cannot break after that super since the super doesn’t let you break moves after it. Late.

yeah I’ve tried breakin the DP+C after a super and yeah it doesn’t hit. Ever.

other combos:

DP+C (break) -> QCFx3+C
QCF+B-> QCFx3+C
QCF+D-> DP+C

qcf+B -> walk up D(1hit) -> feint f+AC -> D(1 hit) -> dp+C(brake) -> qcfx3+C

I hope you don’t mind me posting these combos:
Gato:
Corner- Jumping HP/HK–>D+LP+LK–>QCB+HK, LK–>QCB+LK, LK–>F, D, DF+LK–>QCFx2+HP

Butt:
Corner- Jumping HK–>Standing HK–>F, D, DF+LP, Break–>QCF+LK–>QCFx2+K
Either S. or P. will connect as long as you pull them off FAST.

Can someone with post modifiying priviledges (original poster, mod) please edit the first post to list all the combos? or give me priviledges. Cause organization is good. Seriously look at how well setup places like soulcalibur.com are set up. This reading through everyones post is retarded. Especially if you’re using this thread as a learning resource.

Wanted to add that you can only do that in the corner.

Just adding, the Koho has to be done with LP not HP…cause it won’t let you super after the qcf + LK. Since the DP + A recovers quicker than the C version…which then lets you connect the super after the qcf + LK. Take care.

Does Dong Hwan have a way to build meter like Gato :rofl:

Ok, I just figured out that Kim Dong Hwan can chain his jump A to his C. So I now know this game has animation cancels from normal to normal (Chains)…
Does anyone have a list of al the chains in the game.

You can combo into that yea, but you cannot super after the qcf + LK is what I was trying to say.

Almost every characters has basic simple chains would take a bit to type them all up for each character ha. Here are some Dong chains, you can just about chain anything with him:

stand LP, stand LK
stand LP, crouch LK x2
stand LP, stand HP
stand LP, stand HK
stand LP, crouch HP
(corner) stand LP, crouch LK, crouch HP

His air chain was already mentioned so I didn’t put that up. Some of those are very simple so you shouldn’t have any problems doing them. Also wanted to let everyone know the tutorial video for Garou is in works. So hopefully once it comes out it should answer just about everthing there is to know about Garou for everyone. Hopefully here very soon we will release it so stay tuned for that. Take care.

Yes I did mention about the tutorial video before a while back, things didn’t go as planned with Thongboy since he is MIA at the moment. So I will have to edit the video myself now once we get all the footage done.
