Who da fuck knows?
Still, Hasbro and retailers must be pissed as all hell seeing as how theyre going to have a toyline in stores without the movie to support it for 9 months.
lol
Oh what the deuce, I just read the news.
This is just a gigantic year for blockbusters, and the C-list stuff (Battleship) will just get ignored. So I can understand the delay to a less competitive season. BUT why didn’t they figure out the obvious, before blowing all that advertising money (like the Super Bowl spot)?
Thats a HUGE waste in money…and lowers my hope for the summer
I hope this is ust some internet bullshit…
- :bluu:
wait wut?!
You guys do realize that movies released in late January - end of March are ones studios basically are conceding to underperform (I.E ass movies)?
Lots of former star power in this, but the 1st one was one of the worst movies of the past 10 years. You’re expecting some solid shit now?
The first one was aight at best. Considering everything that we’ve seen from trailers and stuff, they were pretty much doing everything right by the fans and changing the things that was majorly wrong with the first movie so of course we’re expecting it to be damn good. They would’ve been better off releasing it in September after Expendables 2. I expect a leaked copy to pop up online between now and next year.
Edit: So they’re reshooting it and may include Joseph Gordon Levitt as Cobra Commander and include more Channing Tatum.
i dont know why they need jgl as cobra commander. unless he’s gonna do his best 80’s/90’s impression.
I mean you gotta luv how the producers just said fuck it next year! What about Thanksgiving? “Fuck that 2013 Summer!” What about Christmas? “Fuck that 2013 Summer!” What about early… “Fuck that 2013 Summer!”
Must have sgt slaughter cameo. I would lose my shit if i hear
“you pukes will be lean, mean, fighting machines. And that’s an order maggot”
Also must see one of zartan’s henchmen in a cobra clutch being thrown off a cliff
I wonder if their killing Duke off, during the first 10 minutes or so of the film, caused a bad enough test audience reaction that they went into hyperbolic re-write mode.

Okay, so more than a simple 3D conversion is taking place. It’s understandable that they’d bring back Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon Levitt, at least it will be more consistent with the previous film.
I’ve been looking forward to this movie, but considering the other blockbusters it would have gone up against…
Who wants to see Channing Tatum live through any movie much less this one? The first ten minutes alone would have gotten my ass in a theater.
Nobody.
Channing is irrelevant.
But he got the part of Duke.
Fuck this gay earth if they go Iron Eagles with him.
Fuck Iron Eagles 2, too, while we’re at it.

Wow.
wait what…so its really pushed back to fkn next year?
epic fail:tdown:
so yeah I guess people are Channing Tatum crazy cause thats the real reason for the reshoots. I guess people liked the dynamic friendship between him and the Rock in the movie that him getting killed off early messed it up for the audience.
I’ve never seen a summer blockbuster movie just pushed back a whole year. This is going to be a disaster.
lol i read this earlier and all i can think about now is serpentor spearin duke.
sadly it makes aloooot of sense, channing is a vagina bait superstar now and alot of the comments on youtube asked about channing…from guys and girls. people who get the gi joe franchise understand anyone can be merked at any moment…sadly though…we are the minority in the whole grand scheme of things.
This is really going to go to the far extreme left or far extreme right. Either this decision will work and leave other studios scrambling for the playbook or it will be a complete clusterfuck and Paramount will be screwed harder than Lisa Ann on Sunday.
I thought so too, but seems they will make a fuck load of money from 3D sales over seas that they deem it worthwhile, or you are probably right that it sucks so bad (phillyD pointed out that it’s mostly likely because they’ve already made disastrous losses this fiscal year)
