How is the wood? Is it durable and feel strong? I don’t want my stick to get damaged. I’ve only ever owned a TE-S, so that’s pretty much my stick knowledge and experience. TE-S feels sturdy but it’s plastic.
Most do, but it depends on the wood. Purpleheart is a very hard and heavy wood.
Maple, oak and walnut are quite hard too.
All my cases definitely feel sturdy though. The top and bottom panels are supported all the way around, so there’s virtually no flex.
Nitewalker’s cases are the most sturdy cases i’ve ever played on…and i’ve played on TE and VLXs…
The cases are very durable. I was actually surprised at the amount of abuse they took and continue to take. That’s why I ordered so many from Nitewalker. I won’t go back to plastic now.
After reading this whole thread, I might take a leap of faith and get a NiteWalker stick over a new mass produced corporate stick. Hopefully I do not regret as it’ll be my first “new” stick. Just got to figure out my funds. I hope it’s just as good.

I was in the exact same situation as you are, actually. I wanted to get my very first arcade stick and thought I would just get a TE or an HRAP and modify it.
However, I saw Nitewalker’s work and considered ordering from him.
I am really happy with how my very first arcade stick turned out. It’s really solid and feels like it will last for years. On top of that, it’s completely custom and made to order how you would like it.
You can’t beat that for the price.
Nitewalker is legit. More than legit. Who else will make a product specifically for MC Cthulhu RJ-45 where you only need to solder the bracket?
I absolutely love my purple heart case, its solid! I feel like gutting all my retail sticks and ordering all nitewalker cases and swapping all the internals over :x
Cool, thanks guys. I’m I guess preparing for Injustice. Really want to hit the road when it comes out to support it and I was looking for options/practice and get used to a Stick before 2013. So this one is going to do a lot of traveling once Injustice hits.

This is truth. I have one he made for me in 2006 that is still going strong. Got another last year that is also going to last forever. the man knows what he’s doing.

^Still looks exactly like that, only things i changed were the microswitches on the stick once after a while and a mccthulhu for multi console support.
