Lol this scrub
Ok mark my words.
Your brother works for Capcom? Really? What’s his name? Where in Japan is he located? I’d like to go say hi.
And while I’m at it, I’ll be sure to remind Ayano-san to give Chun Tiger Uppercut.
Why would you necro a two-year old thread… just to give us some BS response that doesn’t contribute? I’m so confused. Also, if your brother actually worked for Capcom, there is no reason you can’t give us his name and position - none of that is privileged or confidential information.
Also, if you are not good at the game, then yes a good Chun player will wreck you hard. If you’re a fireballing, sweeping, unsafe-shit-doing scrub, all a Chun player has to do is block and punish and you will lose. She has some of the best punishes in the game, but YOU have to do something that is punishable first. That is one of the primary differences between Chun and the rest of the A and S-tier characters: other characters can create their own opportunities to use their best tools. In order for Chun to use her best tools, HER OPPONENT has to help her create the opportunity.
But that’s okay, because all the scrubs who lose this way would rather blame the character they are playing against than their own ability. Blaming a character is acceptable in some situations, but against Chun, virtually never. I could understand if you were saying Seth, or Cammy, or a few other characters. But Chun? Get outta here. Keep on doing your jump in HK > crouching HK.
I’m so bitter right now. It’s Monday.
So much for that. Hazaanshu just got a buff. Your brother must not have much say. LOL.
epic
These new buff should help chun li’s game.I hate getting focused baited while doing hazanshu.
idk i hope it does, but is one bar
I don’t see much use for ex hazanshu for the specific purpose of breaking focus on reaction, it’ll probably be more useful for doing it over fast fireballs so they can’t focus dash your as punishement.
It’ll be helpful in the guile matchup for sure.
and sagat
I agree, I was already using it in the sagat matchup as an answer to high tigers, so I didn’t think about it as a new thing there, but it’ll be a nice security that he has to answer with TU instead of focus dash > c.mp x TU.
I think it will help a lot against Gouken too since he doesn’t have relible reversals, he won’t be able to focus and his counters will get broken. Perhaps Juri as well?
now that you mention that makes a lot of sense
Yeah, I was going to write up a whole thing about how I use HSU and how EX breaking armor isn’t really going to be that groundbreaking. It will definitely help in some ways but it’s not a huge game-changer.
If I see my opponent fishing for FA and I have two bars I’ll do HSU FA cancel back dash. Make them whiff the FA and then punish with b+mk series.
the thing is az that strat lose to focus absorb dash cancel from the foe
Yeah I know. I’ve done that to Chun players. It’s not a great strat but it is usable.
The thing is with fa dash cancel you don’t have to predict the hazanshu with focus, you just react to it and get almost the same damage output anway.
Chun for example can punish with c.hp x legs after a dash cancel, at the very least you’re going to get cl.hk x legs, c.hk without having to time it strictly.
The threat of breaking armor and getting that extra damage/knockdown just for having one bar will force people to be way more careful with their focus (and zoners with their projectiles) and allow more freedom to get in or poke with other stuff. It’s an area of space you’ll now have much more control over (kind of like how Guy can keep people out of the air with bunshin-flip grab so they have to deal with it on the ground while crouching most of the time) and even just walking forward, playing the ground game and backing the opponent up will become more potent. Remember this is in addition to her other listed buffs as well like d/f+lk being super status, so making the the opponent not want to deal with me on the ground and try to approach from the air only to get knocked away for good damage is great to me.
I never felt it was really necessary to have that extra space control with that move, but it’s there for now and it only makes her stronger.
Chun already controlls that area with st.mp x ex legs
idk is very annoying to buffer every st.mp
specially when im a whore of that poke
