http://www.famitsu.com/news/201404/24052150.html> release date for ps3 version of unib confirmed to late july.
In the beggining, they were testing waters for a mbHD, while making updates for mbaacc. After putting mbHD on hold, they started all the planning and execution of unib, but continued launching updates for melty. It was not made public, but by the months before DFC, they probably were working behind the scenes in DFC, while making updates for UNIB.
But by the end of the day, from contracting personal to launching unib for arcades it took more than 2 years (march of 2010 to september 2012). Then, it took more a year for Ex late version. And from ex late to the console version (july 28 of 2014), more 11 months.
So, probably for multitasking with other projects (mbaacc and dfc), in the end it taked 4 years to make it avaliable for consoles. It’s true that now they probably get a metodology down the line, but now they probably have more updates planned for unib and dfc. My point is…don’t be too excited. It would be completely realistic to expect a HD melty or other new project for 2018.
