There was some recent testing and a lot of things like some “beef” products at European Taco Bells are over 95% soy based since meat is too expensive. XD

Anyway, I think what’s gonna happen is that, as I initially thought, a lot of what I shoot will end up on the cutting room floor (this is especially so because I’m not designing or scripting any of the shots)… I mostly just want to get to the most interesting stuff and keep it going, since it’s already hard enough to hold someone’s attention for a 30-second clip (the perfect documentary, in my mind, is meat tier video part 1, but then like 50 of those).

So… sorry in advance if I don’t actually use what people feel is the best content >_>

Why am i on camera 100% of the time and wasnt doing any where near the majority talking. You only filmed 3/6ths of fdmm Zaku, isis, manny werent it in at all lol

There’s only one camera, so the amount of shots you can get is limited. Also, because I can’t predict the future, I don’t know where interesting content will be happening at any given moment.

Fucking processing takes forever though, but once it’s in there, you can just do whatever you want, which is great.

Also DKL, why the fudge have you disabled comments on the meat tier video? Censorship is far lower tier than Turkey, please correct this.

Also, it’s not immediately apparent because of the editing, but given that I’m fairly picky about composition, I end up holding/handling the camera for long amounts of time without rest.

God forbid I miss a good shot.

DKL, finding a good composition is important, but as I’m sure you’re aware current film relies on a lot more cuts between cameras in order to portray their perspective, single, long static shots or similar pieces put together isn’t the way people roll at this point.

Also, you can find many good compositions. ~^,.,.^~

Also, at every second of every day you’re missing a good shot, you’re missing trillions of good shots. Care less about what you miss, and more about what you gain.

The ideal scenario is that we have 2 or 3 cameras running, a separate stream for audio and then I just piece everything together in editing.

But since this is a poverty documentary, we just go in and do it lol

I really like what you did with V, a lot of his character came through.

If I get one, let me have input on it, I’d rather be aware of filming with that intention and I will invest energy in proper tools to optimize the information exchange so the greatest amount of value can be gained from this experience and portray who I am. <3

To me censorship tier is somewhere between annihilating reality and mass genocide. I really am not a fan of it. You don’t have to read the comments if you don’t want to. That’s assuming there are any comments in the first place. =/

The fight for censorship is honestly better fought on something other than fucking youtube comments (which have historically proven to be terrible, which is why I even have the filter for chrome that deactivates them universally… either way, I’m not gonna fucking see them, which is great).

But seriously, do we turn it off or on?

I’m getting kinda tired of editing the video page since there’s too many steps involved in turning the shit on and off, so you guys need to make a ruling on this now.

We can use the webcam to get more footage at the Crackhouse. It captures video in 720p, although it probably looks worse than that, we can use that as the 2nd stationary angle. We’re not going to be streaming that video so it will go into the editing room before it’s out anywhere. And then we have some of Som’s audio equipment which we could use to record stuff.
