I’m totally against KoF13 only because it replaced the BBCS cab. However the game is very pretty and I also like the hop mechanic.
If we can get more setups going I’m not against having more diversity of games. Marvel all day is fun but it’s cool to have some SSF4/Tekken/poverty/random non-FG. I still don’t think MK9 is a legit game, but maybe people will play it and prove me wrong.
I’m probably going to spend the rest of this week hurting my wrist practicing cool combos and watching unedited Red Cliff.
That said, I think they are the actual portraits that show up in the game: the Johnny Cage one looks a lot like the one that was in the demo.

Buktooth helped write the guide so I’m pretty sure he’s the one who discovered the Chun BnB. I tried out the Viper unblockable setup and ran into the same problem with inputs. Might try taozen’s input method if that makes it easier. His version of the Dante jump cancel teleport is pretty good too, if I can get the Acid Rain loop/Up guns loop consistently my Dante should easily get 700-800k anywhere on screen for -1 meter (building 2 and using 1).
DKL, caffeine is your friend, I used to get tired with all night gaming sessions but I built a tolerance for it. The trick is eating a lot beforehand and getting ample rest before and after.

Lmao I just came to post that after watching the rest of the vids. Earlier I only watched Yipes and I just finished the rest now. All of you guys running Viper are doing better than Sanford right now.
The real trick once people get good at rapid-fire seismo is careful placement and prediction of the opponent’s position, as well as knowing when to just SJ out to be safe. I think the problem with Sanford and MarlinPie as well was they were so busy trying to mash out seismo that they got hit while doing it. High-execution maneuvers require a high amount of concentration that takes focus away from other stuff. Justin Wong uses basic setups and just focuses on defense, spacing and prediction and he’s better than everyone. I saw the same thing in MvC2. His Sentinel rarely even did fastflies/reflies, but he usually won Sent mirrors because of the aforementioned skills. Compare that to khaos, who has the sickest combos but is barely a mid-level tournament player. Chrisis would probably beat me in a Dante mirror just doing the pre-release Marn BnB.
I shouldn’t be talking though, I only play Marvel to do cool combos XD. I might just focus on Ammy because her combos are relatively simple and damaging and she has basic tools for every situation, but bold cancel and devil trigger shit is so stylish.
On a completely unrelated note, Red Cliff is amazing and Phoenix Wright/Megaman ZX PC versions own my soul ATM.

@Demon i WAS gonna get 2002 when it came out on the XBLA, but i tried the Demo and SUCKED at it ._. … and now im 40 MS points from getting it LOL. I would buy it, but i doubt i can bring my Xbox to the Dojo, since i usually leave at like 6, plus It’s a limited edition one, so if it gets damaged accidently… D:

Chris’ Viper is putting in more work than any Vipers I’ve seen so far on streams. I could probably actually block Sanford’s Viper, but to his credit, he’s still soul searching for a team while Chris has been in Vipah mode since week 1. :lol:
@linknights, not to sway you from Mr Saturation, but you may want to consider an assist that’ll get you out of bad situations (Haggar Lariat, Doom Hidden Missiles, Tron Candle, Sentinal’s Air Raid -not drones-) or aid in space-control (Hidden Missiles, Taskie Aim Master, Trish Peekaboo/Hopscotch) as Chris has some trouble dealing with super-mobile rushdown or characters that can rain projectiles from a high vantage point (coughTrishcough). That’s assuming you want to play keepaway; Phoenix assists are good but are way too risky to use outside of combos so definitely make sure Chris has some help on point. Just my opinion though, I’m sure others may see different!

@Taozen Yeah i have alot of trouble against rushddown when I’m with Chris, but Keepaway isnt really my style. Jumping all over the place with Guns :D. Well I don’t want to learn more characters than I have to, to play when Chris dies and the assist becomes the pointman. I could Do haggar, but I’m really bad at closing in against Characters who can keep away like DOOM. And Doom, I’m not really good with, ive tried ._. but the Hidden Missiles is really useful. Tron i cant use either tho DAT candle is awesome. Sentinel Air Raid? You mean Flying Bombs?.. I might use those. Task i cant use, only know like one combo :P. Trish i cant use, i cant make use of the trap thingys while air comboing.
And yeah i saw that on steam the first week of WNF Season 2, instead of the Starbase Stream… though i should be watching NorCal play. LOL. Yeah, i did that in Training mode. SO MUCH CHIP. Magneto shouldnt even be the King of Pringles anymore thanks to Chris. He makes my Chris look ASS.
-VII i tried the same combo i did in the video, except with the advice with Boulder Punch M, the second hit doesnt connect, so i cant chain into magnum. But i could probably do it on ground instead of the Fancy BnB. Time to watch Trag’s Vids. ._.
TigerKnee airgun fire is pretty easy :o. 2369 is the simple motion, but it requires slower timing than you normally would tigerknee otherstuff, do it too fast and he’ll superjump gunfire.
