I wasn’t feeling the random tourney much either, but I guess that means I just need to show up earlier for the casuals; I feel that that’s my best opportunity to play and learn more. Nice meeting V finally and seeing the regular heads. Looking forward to the next session.
Yah, though hilarious, I wouldn’t want random-select to be a regular part of the meets. That said, despite me and Worf’s inexperience doing tourney brackets, the single-elim tourney didn’t take any time at all (there were a lot of 2-0 matches). Bear in mind, this isn’t my session to dictate, but maybe we can consider:
-double-elim tourney (top-8 dedicated to one setup, so we can have casuals)
-one single-elim tourney, extended casuals
-one single-elim, then dedicate one setup to exhibition matches (FT3-5 matches or team battles)
-one single-elim, one single elim with extra rules (new characters only, random, 2v2)
-single elim for different games

I think we might be able to do double-elim tourney within 4 hours. Considering we did a single elim and a random v random in the same time. The random gods were not with me that day.

@chrisis metreon surprisingly has mvc2 players if you’re looking for people to play. thursdays from 3-close is only .25 cents. i’ve gone once or twice and about 3-4 heads are there. close to public trans also
